No more needs to be said... Stunning image captured and shared by @davidpapenfus, nice work! "Catching the sunset at Chobe Game Reserve with one of Botswana's majestic residents! Did you know that not only is the giraffe the tallest mammal on earth (makes up to 6 meters!), but also not a slow poke on the legs? They can run up to 50 km/h over short distances and 15 km/h for longer stretches. Giraffes are also very energy efficient, only requiring water every couple of days (they get enough through the plants they eat) and get by on 5-30 minutes of sleep each day (which they accomplish in naps sometimes only a minute long!) Hmm... for the athletes following, maybe these beautiful creatures have something to teach us! ~~~~

A very tolerant impala gets an ear inspection from an oxpecker. Oxpeckers remove pesky ticks. 📷 @korbi42 in Chobe National Park, Botswana 🇧🇼 #chobenationalpark

Chobe National Park was a fantastic experience, even if we were up at half 5 in the morning for the game drive! We had almost finished our drive and we had been warned that the chance of seeing elephants was slim due to the time of year, they didn’t need to be here. I was giving myself a pep talk in my head as we started to head towards the exit, telling myself not to be upset, how many other amazing creatures had we seen! But then they came, a whole heard, heading for the water...

Cold air.....dark nights.....warm fires....bright stars...and wild animals right outside our tent ⛺️! A glimpse of how we have been spending our nights in East and Southern Africa 🙏
