This is a 3 round burner! Lots of reps, but you can modify for your ability level! Check out the modifications and exercise descriptions below:

Mountain Climbers: on hands and toes in plank position, keep abs tight and butt down, alternate bringing one knee up and then the other, go as fast as you can while keeping good form - 60 reps total (30 each leg)
DB Thrusters: dumbbells at your shoulders, squat and as you stand, press dumbbells upwards extending your arms fully, return weights to shoulders and squat down repeating the movement. Choose a weight you can do all reps with. Just do bodyweight squats if you don’t have access to weights.
15 V-Ups: lying on your back with legs extending and arms overhead, squeeze abs and lift both arms and legs up at the same time coming up onto your butt. If this movement is too hard, don’t come up to your butt, instead tuck knees in while bringing your arms from the overhead position to next to your body.
Alternating Reverse Lunges: stand upright and step back, bending back knee to ground, stand back upright and repeat on other leg, 7 reps total. Either hold DBs or use your own bodyweight.
Burpee Jump Overs: place DBs in front of you, do a burpee and then jump over the DBs, turn and face the DBs and repeat

Lunch. A roasted plantain and two grilled chicken wings. And I’m stuffed but not in an uncomfortable way. Plus side of my relocation means im in a town where plantain roasted is a staple, and super cheap 🤑. I decided to have it simply with grilled wings as the workouts I do are weight focused and so I need all that muscle building goodness. Also, Iean cuts of meat as I try to eventually wean out red meat from my diet in my quest to develop a plant based diet (baby steps). The old Cliche, breakfast is the most important meal of the day.... well, it is! What are you eating for breakfast? Oatmeal? Cereal? Fruit? A bagel? Don’t!

If you want to maximize your energy, get lean, improve mental focus, and increase training results, eat a breakfast high in protein and fat! This will cause a gradual blood sugar release throughout the day rather than an insulin shock after essentially a nighttime fast while you sleep. What does that mean? You get fewer cravings for sugar throughout the day and your body is able to regulate itself much more effectively over that time period leading to more productivity and focus. Stable blood sugar is essential for health AND training results as your body’s insulin sensitivity will dictate how well it utilizes the sugars when you do ingest them later in the day!
