Mobstyle - The Good, The Bad And The Ugly 1990 Grove St. #tbt to possibly the realest gangster rap of all time. First let me start by saying I don't know shit, I'm usually just talking out my ass and giving my opinions and when it comes to NY 80's street dudes and selling dope you can multiply that statement times a thousand. That being said one thing I do know a little about is rap music, been in, around and a huge fan for my entire life and one thing that I've always maintained is that you can either be a rapper or a gangster but you really can't be both(at least not a a high level) cause these are both life consuming pursuits. It's been romanticized and fantasized by rappers for the last couple of decades to the point where the lines are severely blurred to most especially those farther removed than others as to what is real and what is fantasy for the sake of entertainment. These dudes right here are uptown New York Royalty and it ain't for rapping! After finishing the latest season of Narcos recently it dawned on my just how connected these two pieces of entertainment are and unlike most things in entertainment there's a lot more validity to these tales. For anybody not familiar with Mobstlye the group consisted of Azie Fasion, Gangster Lou, Pretty Tone Capone and Whip Wop them along with Rich Porter and Alpo where the basis for the movie "Paid In Full" released in '02 that has since become a cult classic. In an interview with Vladtv Azie is amazingly candid and brutally honest and he says a couple things that ring very true to me, first he says "we ain't rappers" they just had a real story to tell and the other thing that I believe is a direct shot at one of the biggest culprits of that fronting drug dealer status is "we were the Trueprint to their Blueprint" take it as you may, I'm going with Azie on that one. SWIPE LEFT FOR SOUND⬅️ #mobstyle #newyork #uptown #harlem #bronx #eastcoast #gangsterrap
