We were so honored to interview such an incredible human. Thank you for your time, Richard. Necker is still beautiful. ❤️ Also, shoutout to my gifted mom for painting this picture of the Great House! 😍 @debcookturner @richardbranson

No, this unfortunately wasn't a river. This was the aftermath of hurricane Irma in my community. It has been two months since the hit to our area and today I want to bring attention to and give thanks to everyone who has helped clean up and rebuild. Individuals have come together in helping each other. Companies have worked around the clock to get life back to normalcy. Various missions groups and churches have banned together to support families who have lost much. I wish I could name them all so they could get the thanks they deserve, but it is a good thing when there have been so many that it is impossible to cover them all.

"Most people want to help or make a difference during their existence, but they don’t take the time to inventory their life, their skills, their assets, their business, or their resources in order to be a force for good. No matter how much or little you have, you can make a difference.
.
I had the pleasure of being able to lead the Branson Center for Entrepreneurship Entrepreneurs in a reverse shark tank experience in the BVI centered around how #Irma is going to HELP their start-ups not destroy them. I left encouraged, inspired and motivated by this incredible group of overcomers.

Top takeaways:
1. Frustration is simply a vision of a higher standard. If used in the right way you can bring to life the future and the excellent, or just become a hater activist like most.

2. Entrepreneurs and leaders use obstacles as an excuse to be more creative and innovative.

3. There is always a “WHY” behind what you do, share it. If you don’t know your “WHY” ask yourself “if I could start or further one initiative during my time on earth what would it be and why does that matter to me?” 4. Whatever you have you can use to help others. Do your part without having to be told.
5. If it’s something you want and it’s not available it’s a business opportunity.
6. You do NOT have the whole picture- give yourself grace to know you are moving forward with what you are onto WHILE you figure it out."

250/365 ~ It was the tiny American flags adorning the base of this gorgeous fallen behemoth that caught my eye. Those tiny flags waving earnestly in the breeze, barely visible in the failing light, encouraging everlasting hope... #donttredonme #hurricaneirmaaftermath #60daysafterirma #veteransday #project365 #potd

I volunteered today at my daughter’s school and we raised 500$!!!! I’m exhausted but my heart is exploding with joy. Due to low funds, the school’s playground has not been fully functional since Hurricane Irma destroyed part of it. Although this money can’t cover all of the expenses it’s a great start! I can’t wait so see the kids playing outside again! Thank you everyone who supported this wonderful cause! If you would like to make a donation please message me for contact info. Every little bit helps. I will post about our next food sale! Delicious homemade Mexican food apparently was a huge hit! #superhappy

After Irma, the Florida Keys are struggling to whip back into shape. As an area built on a tourist-based economy, they are working their hardest to improve the image of the beautiful islands. The most important step now is to spread the word!! The keys are back in operation and need continuous help to fix the harsh damage #floridakeys #hurricaneirmarelief #hurricaneirmaaftermath

Guys, @christinablockphotography is a hard working single mom who had just purchased a home for she and her son this year. And Hurricane Irma caused terrible flooding to her whole Jacksonville neighborhood. I went over to help with some of the cleanup and it made me cry, pulling her beautiful couch, photos, her son’s toys all into a garbage pile on the street. Anything in her house that wasn’t on a shelf was completely ruined.
Apparently the home already had foundation issues that were hidden from her when she bought the property and insurance won’t cover anything until that’s fixed. The damage from Irma could have been so much worse for all of us so PLEASE check out Christina’s profile and support her in any amount that you can. Because it could have been your house. 😔 #hurricaneirma #hurricaneirmaaftermath #disasterrelief

The chef of #Brandywine needed to do something and so he stayed on Tortola and cooked food for children. He cooks for over 200 kids a day and stands on the street to give them two meals a day!

Seeing people use their talents and hearts to help others gives us so much appreciation and hope for the BVI and the people there. #BVIStrong

A year ago, I posted a vague status and had almost everyone freaking out because they wanted to know the news I had. It was that My transfer back to Kilimanjaro had gone through and let me tell you, a whole new year here has been the most wildest ride from good to bad times. However, I made new friends and reconnected with some old ones and even trained new safari drivers. There’s a reason my tattoo says “twende, adventure is out there” and it’s because life is an adventure so enjoy pictures from this year at KSR. #redheadsaremutants #ksr #kilimanjarosafari #safaridriver #khakipack #animalkingdom #dak #hurricaneirmaaftermath #twende #jambo
