This evening I did a five mile walk/light jog. There are still large debris piles at the end of almost every driveway. Passing in front of this one house I looked and saw this little butterfly house tucked under some debris. I fished it out and walked up to the house in the background in the photo.
She answered the door with a wary eye and I asked, “Ma’am I was jogging past the debris pile and I saw this...” and before I could finish, she put her hand over her heart and squished up her face, “oh, you found it! I hung this up in the tree for my babygirl grand-daughter. You found it and brought it to me! That is so sweet, thank you!” So why am I sharing this with you? To “humble brag”? Of course I am humble bragging! :::laugh::: ok that’s not true. What I did is a no brainer and should be seen as what is normal and expected. The reason I am sharing this with you is to encourage you to take a moment to be more “A”ware of the environment your community is in; not just family, not just friends...your community. Ask for the Creator, or however you draw upon the Greater Good, to help look for little ways to be selfless; to be inspired to serve, restore order or even reclaim what might seem like small (or big) losses. I am thinking our communities could use a bit more attention in the everyday moments of life and a little less of the tsunami of noise coming from our screens.
And in the meantime, you might just cause a Grandma to have happy squishy face emotions and that is always a good thing. 😊❤️😃 #Love #Neighbors #Community #Running #Fitness #Jogging #Walking #HurricaneIrma #HurricaneIrmaAftermath #Family
I'm not an arborist, master gardener or even have a green thumb but I'm thinking they were suppose to make a giant hole and replant this Oak tree. There are roots not even in the ground and she is about a ft on top of the ground. #IMightHaveToGetMyShovelAndStartDigging #OakTree #OakTreeWithCrutches #HurricaneIrmaIsABitch #HurricaneIrmaAftermath #ChateauRebecca
This is how the backyard looks after that BYATCH hurricane Irma stopped by without an invitation. Some of the trees got mohawks, some lost all their leaves and branches, some fell and have crutches and some were left with serious limps but they will be stronger than ever and now I have free mulch. #ChateauRebecca #HurricaneIrmaIsABitch #HurricaneIrmaAftermath
Hurricane Irma left a mess of a beach but a beautiful rainbow for our fall family session with the Gray family! #fallminisessions #hurricaneirmaaftermath

A cleanup day in Miami Florida!!!! "Im thanking the 100 accounts that are following me and being able to see part of what I do for a living. I will be posting more things in the future, I am kinda at a halt from horse training from my family and myself are helping those that were affected by hurricane Irma. We were affected but not as bad as some others. I am thankful we are able to help others get back up on their feet and helping their animals (equine) as well. #prayformiami #hurricaneirma2017🌀 #hurricaneirmaaftermath #floridacleanup #labellesilverspurs #4h #4hhorseclub
Couldn't go back to our original spot on Estero but lucked into one of the few places with power & explored some gorgeous new beaches. Couldn't get enough of these little beach houses people had across from their main houses on #caseykey #calmafterthestorm #hurricaneirmaaftermath #gulfcoast #palmtrees
Glad to see the Ibises are back and finding food under one of my favorite trees...
I've stared into the branches of this tree drinking coffee on my patio in the am for many years...
It brings tears to my eyes to see the branches like this...
From one of the bedroom windows it actually looks like you are under the tree... like it's hugging the room...
I truly get that it was the tree who took the hit from the tornados that came through during #irma
As we had no way to board up that window and there is not even a scratch on it...
💚 🌲 🙏 #grateful
