I've been doing yoga for 48 days in a row now and I've been seeing that my body is getting more toned. Since the beginning of this year, I've also been incorporating a lot more raw foods into my diet (even though I've been consuming a lot of foods high in fat such as avocado)πŸ₯‘ Also, I continue to hike about once a week, while meditating in nature🌳🌳🌳We don't need to consume animal flesh or drink cow's milk in order to be healthy, look nice, or enjoy our food. In fact, based on research and personal experience, we will be healthier and our skin will naturally glow more when we stop consuming animal byproducts and eat more fruit and vegetables. πŸ‰πŸπŸ₯πŸ‡The animals, the environment, and your body will thank you when you're living a cruelty-free lifestyle. πŸ˜„πŸ’œ

Good Morningggg 🌞 Anybody else a fan of #overnightoats? I love them. I love the convenience of them. Not everyday is there time to make porridge on the cooker, so I love to think ahead and put overnight oats in the fridge, if I know the morning is going to be a bit of a rush. It makes healthy eating a lot easier and more consistent. Organisation is key (for me anyway) πŸ₯£

Who doesn’t love left over curry? I certainly do after a late shift at work. Kale, sweet potato, peppers, mushrooms, onion, chickpeas and lots of flavour: turmeric, cinnamon, cumin, coriander, tomato 🌱 I find the key to healthy eating for me is organisation, whenever and wherever possible ✨ P.S. You’d think you’d get bored of oats for breakfast... but you just don’t πŸ₯£ There are so many exciting variations. There’s even a whole book that’s been released on porridge - who knew. Great source of Plant Based protein, naturally processed, high in soluble fibre, great before a workout or the day ahead as they’re slow release.... andddd they are just so versatile. So many different toppings and always delicious. What’re your favourite porridge toppings? Here’s one of my go-to’s: oats in the hob cooker, mix some cinnamon in, almond milk. Toppings: walnuts, pumpkin seeds, chai seeds and banana πŸ’« Delicious and lots of nutrients already taken care of, in your first meal of the day ✨

You may be surprised to hear this, but I do NOT advocate for animal welfare. I advocate for complete animal liberation.

The terms humane, free-range, local, organic, & grass-fed are nothing but a marketing ploy. The purposefully misleading terminology holds no accuracy compared to the actual treatment of the animal who ends up murdered & packaged neatly for consumers to eat, free of any guilt or accountability

This is dangerous as it reinforces the idea that there is an ethical way to exploit an animal, & it allows the consumer to buy a product & think that they are giving an animal a happy life. This is why it’s so important we don’t perpetuate these ideas of welfare because it’s a huge injustice to the animal who is still suffering

Free-range, for example. Hens are raised in jam-packed barns where the vast majority are denied access to fresh air & sunlight - the male chicks are still ground up alive on their first day of life, the hens are still genetically manipulated to lay eggs at an unnatural rate (250 a year, compared to 13 a year), they're debeaked without pain killers, & ultimately all of the hens still end up being slaughtered at 12 months old. Free-range is a deceitful attempt by the egg industry to lure customers into believing their product is more ethical

There is no right way to do the wrong thing.

No matter the label, all these animals end up in the same slaughterhouse being killed in the same ways. The only humane method of slaughter is to not slaughter

There is of course an argument that improving treatment for animals is better than keeping it the way it is, in the same way that taking meds for a broken arm is better than not taking anything, but it’s not going to make the problem go away & it certainly doesn’t provide any real relief

It always strikes me as strange that when people campaign against eating dogs in Yulin, they don’t campaign for the animals to be kept in bigger cages, or to be free-range. Nobody ever asks for the dogs to be killed in a more humane way. We demand that the festival be abolished altogether
