I just wanted to take the time to say thank you to everyone following me. I received so many kind messages yesterday after introducing myself and it makes me wonder why I was so afraid to do it. This truly is a beautiful community. Whether you started following me yesterday, or right at the beginning, it means a whole lot to me that you're here reading this post. I want you to know that you are each beautiful in your own right, not despite but BECAUSE of the battles you have fought; whether these battles are heartbreak, mental health problems, eating disorders or something else. While I wouldn't say I have had an eating disorder in the past, I definitely had disordered eating. Everyday I used to skip breakfast, eat an apple and a banana at school- that's it! And then come home and binge on rubbish because I was so hungry but then I often wouldn't eat tea because I was too full from binging. And I actually thought this was healthy because I was eating fruit??? This is one of the reasons I am so passionate about veganism; it helped me to overcome this intense cycle of disordered eating. These days I eat so much good food that I never feel the need to binge, and if I'm hungry I feed myself properly. Veganism has brought out all this love within me, love for food, love for animals and love for myself. For the first time in a long time, I am happy to be me and all I want to do is share the love within me to everyone I meet in life; including you beautiful people. Thank you for following me on this journey which is so close to my heart. I hope you have an amazing day and if it turns out not so amazing, I will be proud of you just for making it through the day (because, real talk: sometimes that's the most that any of us can do) ❤️❤️🌿
