Makes 4 servings
.
. -1/2 cup vegan cream cheese .
- 8 oz (dry weight) Fettuccine pasta
-1 tbs grated cashews
-1tbs nutritional yeast
-1/2 tsp garlic salt
Marinara sauce:
* -3 Tbs extra virgin olive oil
* -5 garlic cloves minced
* – Small sweet onion chopped
* -28 oz can whole tomatoes or 3.5 cups fresh tomato puree
* -1 tsp sugar
* -1 tsp pink salt
* -handful of fresh basil

1. Heat oil on medium heat & cook onions & garlic until slightly browned.
2. Add all other ingredients except for the fresh basil & cook on medium low for 10 mins, stirring frequently.
3. Lower heat to a simmer & left cook down to a sauce consistency about 20 mins. If it gets too thick add a little water & stir.
4. Add basil leaves at the end.

While sauce simmers cook pasta according to instructions. Before serving blend the cream cheese into the sauce for a creamier consistency. Toss with pasta and top with nutritional yeast, cashews and garlic salt. #bestofvegan

Presentando gli spaghetti....😍😍😁...I googled tht..hee hee hee...jokes aside I do make some mean pasta n spaghetti ..this one here is in arabiatta sauce, sprinkled with freshly n finely chopped parsley n basil!!..my kiddo (if I can call a 23 old that) who feels mortified if I pack a dabba (lunch box) for him, shamelessly asks me to pack this for him for lunch...hmmm!!
This n pizza was my staple food whn I was tripping Europa...Italy is a gastronomical experience n I am not even a foodie, yet I loved every single meal there!!

Oh, beet pesto, you're the best! I would always make this and bring to babysitting so I can get the kids to put down their Mac n cheese or whatever crappy food they're used to eating for this! I tell them it's magical fairy pasta lol first, I roast beets in the oven until they're soft and I blend with macadamia nuts/pine nuts/avocado, oil, basil, nutritional yeast, lemon juice, garlic and salt and put on pasta or pizza or use as a dip for beet chips! This pesto pictured has moringa and kale as well as basil. Tomato Garlic Quinoa Greatness

So I gave up booze and bread (and pasta) for the month of January…I know, I know…most of my friends just said to call them on February 1st. I make this simple tomato garlic pasta all the time, so tonight I just swapped quinoa for the pasta, and threw in the leftover sausage I had from 2 nights ago (REPURPOSING INGREDIENTS WINK WINK). I stopped by a small Italian market on the way home from work and scored this pecorino romano cheese ON SALE, turned on some Nelly jams and got to work on this quick, simple GF dinner. .

What Ya Need:
-1 cup quinoa -2 cups chicken stock
-1/4 cup olive oil
-1 yellow onion, chopped
-2 cups cherry tomatoes, halved (more pictured here b/c I went overboard tonight and realized I used too many)
-8 cloves garlic, chopped
-2 chicken sausages, thinly sliced -1 tsp. red chili flakes
-1 tsp. salt
-1/2 tsp. pepper.
-pecorino romano cheese, grated (sprinkled on top) (Parmesan also works great)

What To Do:
Add chicken stock and quinoa to a medium saucepan over medium heat, and let simmer until all liquid is absorbed, about 15-20 minutes.
In a large non-stick frying pan, heat olive oil over medium heat, and add in the onions. Sauté for 5 minutes, and add in the tomatoes. Cook for another 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add in garlic, sausages, salt, pepper and red chili flakes and cook for another 5 minutes. I like to add the garlic towards the end because I like the strong taste of raw garlic. If you want this flavor to be more mellow, add garlic in when you add the tomatoes, and you will get a bit sweeter/mellower flavor. Tear the basil into pieces and stir in last. Lay a bed of the quinoa on a plate, pour tomato mixture over it, and then top with the grated cheese. Don’t worry pasta, I will be back for you (along with all my boozehound/gluten eating friends) on February 1.

#Basil #Protection #Bath -- #Basil is a herb that is famed for its #protective properties, and this nine-day basil protection bath ritual can help repair a damaged #aura, repels any #negativity directed towards you, and helps you form a #protective #shield around yourself.
This ritual should be done after you have had your regular daily bath or shower.
You will need :
Basil leaves
A container for the basil infusion
White cotton cloth or handkerchief ** Put the basil leaves in a heat-proof container and pour boiling water (4-6 cups) over the leaves. Let the infusion brew and then cool down for an hour or so – then strain the leaves out and discard them. ** Bring your infusion and the washcloth to your shower or bathtub. Take your clothes off, and dip the cloth in the infusion. Wipe the infusion over all the places of your body you can reach, starting from the top downwards. If you want, you can chant a protection incantation of your own making, but it is not necessary. ** Once you are done, let yourself air-dry, and don’t put on your clothes again until you are completely dry. Do not use a towel as the infusion needs to stay on your skin. Repeat this ritual for nine consecutive days, using the same basil infusion. Don’t use it all at the same time – leave a bit at the end. ** After you are done with the ninth bath ritual, take the remaining water and throw it away outdoors. As you are throwing it, put some strength into the gesture, and see this as you throwing away all the negativity that had been in your life before. Rest in the comfort and trust of knowing that you are now protected 🙏
