LEG DAY BURNOUT!! you can see the struggle in my face 😂 I’m using the extra heavy resistance band for 3/4 of these exercises and the extra light band for the last one. Use any band between medium-extra heavy for the following: 1. 20 seated clam shells 2. 20 squats (push knees out) 3. 20 kick backs (10 per side) 4. 20 glute bridges with extra light resistance band. Complete this burnout 3-4 times through

Happy Sunday babes!! I’m exhausted after a jam packed weekend full of going out for dinner & drinks on Friday, Work Christmas party on Saturday, and this morning we had breakfast with Santa. It was so nice to go out with my hubs and spend some time together. I think the best thing about this weekend was getting this pic with Santa with NO TEARS! 🙏💃🏼 This was the first year that no one cried. It was a Christmas miracle! 🎄Despite the weekend being so crazy, I did workout both days. Tonight I did a 30 min @adrienelouise flow, and it was just what I needed to relax and unwind after the craziness. Hope y’all had a great weekend as well!

We have been out of town for a few days, so today’s lunch was a “whatever I can find in the fridge” type of bowl 🙃 I wanted to show you, because sometime we try to make our meals so complicated... Do you find yourself grabbing takeout during the week to save time? Do you stress at the thought of cooking a complex meal for lunch or dinner? I encourage you to take a step back and think simple this week. Majority of the time, the healthiest meals are the ones that take the least amount of time to prep! Here is an example of a simple, yet very nutritious, lunch you can prepare in 10 mins. this week...

I realized today when I was at my hotel gym that it’s been about 1.5 years since I’ve been to an actual gym, which is INSANE because I worked at a gym during college so I went almost everyday for 4 years. I’ve loved working out from home. I lost 15 pounds from my living room with a mat, a chair and 3 sets of dumb bells. 😜💪🏻 It’s been a little crazy here in Vegas and I haven’t worked out in 4 days so it felt good to get back at it today! ⠀⠀

Sunday meal prep was a success and pretty simple tonight. Made the same chicken sausage and veggie baking sheets as last weekend for our lunches this week.

Also tried this new recipe for Greek Lemon Chicken Soup that we will have a few nights for dinner. It turned out really yummy and light but still filling. Recipe👇🏼

Total Time: 40 min.
Prep Time: 15 min.
Cooking Time: 25 min.
Yield: 4 servings
.
Ingredients:
➕¾ cup dry whole wheat penne (1½ oz.)
➕1 lb. raw chicken breast, boneless, skinless, cut into bite-sized pieces
➕Nonstick cooking spray
➕3 large eggs
➕6-9 Tbsp. fresh lemon juice, divided use
➕4 cups low-sodium, organic chicken broth, hot
➕1 cup chopped fresh spinach
➕sea salt and ground black pepper (to taste; optional)

Preparation:
1. Cook pasta according to package directions until al dente; drain. Cool.
2. Heat medium nonstick skillet, lightly coated with spray, over medium heat.
3. Add chicken; cook, stirring frequently, for 6 to 8 minutes or until cooked through. Set aside.
4. Whisk together eggs and 6 Tbsp. lemon juice in a large bowl. Slowly add broth, whisking constantly, until outside of bowl feels warm to the touch.
5. Transfer egg mixture to medium saucepan. Add chicken, spinach, pasta, and any remaining broth; cook, over medium heat, stirring frequently, for 1 to 2 minutes.
6. Season with salt and pepper if desired; add remaining 3 Tbsp. lemon juice to taste if desired. Serve immediately.

BBG Week 4 Arms & Abs ✔️All smiles today because even though I tried to make all the excuses, I still made it to the gym. We have our renal exam tomorrow and I always feel like maybe that 1 extra hour of studying will help me. What I've learned so far this year is that one extra hour of last minute studying just stresses me out more and those couple hours a week instead add up to a significant decline in both my physical and mental health. So happy I made the choice to go today, it wasn't easy but it was so worth it. De-stressed and ready to crush this exam tomorrow 👊🏽

I had a really good day, and I didn’t plan on working out because I got to babysit the kiddos and hang out with them while their parents shopped, but when they got home I had some energy and wanted to stick with my program so I got a workout in just in time to relax and go to bed. It feels good to be someone who WANTS to workout even if it’s at the end of the day. 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼 praising God for His ways in my life. •

But, its so important to realise that someone's photo on instagram is 9 time out of 10 gonna be the best photo of themselves out of many. They're gonna pick the one that they look fabulous in, obviously.
There's nothing wrong with that 🙌 the photos I post on here motivate me to keep going. I know that I've come so far. Body confidence has come as a part of this fitness journey. I wasn't always like this. Seeing people I look up to on instagram posting photos like this made me realise, hey, don't compare your worst to someone else's best 🙅
