WEEK 2, DAY 1: Legs & Cardio.... FINISHED! 🙌🏽💪🏽 And go figure, i did the first 10 burpees, pumped and ready to start the jump lunges and BAM jumped up lunged down and AHHHHHH my freaking right butt muscle! I’m surprised i didn’t fall straight to the ground!! 😫So I’m pretty sure i pulled a muscle, but i kept going, somehow! Ok let's talk #goals👌 one of mine is to #drinkmorewater 💦 I am terrible at hydrating like maybe I drink one or two glasses of water a day, 2 cups of coffee ☕️ and when I work out I do drink 600mls of BCAAs but that's it 😶 I know, bad! First #sweatyselfie for #sweat12wc... my intention was to go home on my lunch break and walk on the treadmill so I wouldn't get too sweaty and could shower off quick without having to redo my hair before going back to work. Clearly that didn't happen haha. I was craving a good jog so I picked an iFit workout at random and went with it, and then I was dripping sweat. It felt amazing, and I feel completely refreshed and focused coming back to work.

Wow. I really needed the restful weekend of only yoga. I really made sure my #bbgworkout was 110% and there was a point that i needed to sit down. So maybe I went a little too hard🤣🤣 And day 21 #ywatrue was great. As usual. Anyone else bummed that there are only 9 days left? I really like the way yoga makes me feel but after the challenge I always get a little lax with practicing every day. Anybody have any suggestions?

Last year I became frustrated by not seeing the results that everyone else was experiencing and I knew it had to be a diet issue. I ate “good” but I knew I needed more but wasn’t sure how to do it

My husband listens to business podcasts all day long and kept telling me I should be listening to podcasts as well. I reluctantly took his advice and then realized how crazy I was for not using this resource sooner. Podcast provide a wealth of knowledge and entertainment for FREE with very little effort on your part 🤦🏼‍♀️ .

What I’ve realized is that if I continue to learn and listen to thought provoking information it keeps me motivated. It also teaches me the “whys” in regards to nutrition. I’ve never really wanted to loose weight so eating was the least of my concern...dumb I know. But learning the health benefits of food and diet helps me to stay on track because it is not a weight loss thing. It’s an overall health and lifestyle thing

that was SO HARD. Physically...mentally. Just HARD. My 5 month old was wailing—just couldn’t be consoled. Then she finally fell asleep and it took everything in me to choose to do this workout. I was so drained before I even started. But I did it and it got DID. Whew!

I initially created this account to keep me accountable. I would document my progress, and THOSE pictures were posted to show that BBG really works, and to *hopefully* motivate anyone that was starting out on their fitness journey. I’ve continued to document through my pregnancy, because I wanted this pregnancy to be different from my last. My last pregnancy I was ashamed of my growing body and the weight I was gaining. This time I’ve tried to really embrace it. My posts are NEVER meant to belittle anyone else or to make them feel the need to compare. My hope is to motivate other moms to be their healthiest self, because I know how much fitness has helped me as a wife/Mom. ❤️❤️

Happy Monday! I laughed at a quote I saw today from @bjgaddour that said something like --If you think Monday is the best day of the week, you must have had a crappy weekend. haha! As a mom of school age kids that works from home, I DO love Mondays- because that means the kids are at school and I’m able to get things done. My weekends tend to be more stressful with everyone home and a million places and activities to get to. Anyway- love it or not, it’s Monday and I thought I’d start the week by sharing a strategy I offer clients to help with sustainable fat loss

I don’t feel that any one of the above approaches is superior as it really depends on the individual. In the end, whatever YOU can stick to longest is your best choice. And for many, tracking calories at all may not be their best choice. Tracking may SUCK for some people and using other approaches to keep food intake in check (like intermittent fasting, overall portion control strategies, removing snacks, etc) is a better approach for them. But if tracking is your THANG (I personally love it!), then keep in mind, you don’t have to stick to the SAME calorie intake every day

Some clients I find just NEED a release on the weekend and a little more food- they are able to handle a slightly lower weekday intake if that means they can have a little more to work with on the weekends to have some larger restaurant meals

Take note that this is much different then overly restricting on the weekdays and then letting all heck break loose on the weekends. This is a planned and focused approach to still get needed nutrition and energy during the week or in between training days as well as stay in control of intake on higher days

As far as macros go, I provide clients with macro breakdowns for each of their high and low days. But generally I encourage a focus on overall calorie intake and protein- with the protein goal being the same whether it’s a high or low day- but high days allow for more of everything else

If strength is your primary goal, then having higher carb days on training days will likely be preferable- and overall not eating below maintenance. #sdangerfitinfographics
