DAY 20: it's fave body part time πŸ˜‡ I almost didn't post this, but I decided to screw my anxieties and say, honestly: my fave body part is my butt πŸ‘ Not because of what anyone has told me about it (some really dumb stuff, btw, like "you have a great ass for a white girl" #stoptalking πŸ™„πŸ™ˆπŸ™…β€β™€οΈ) And not because the Kardashians have "made the butt fashionable" (whatever the hell that means - how can a body part be a fashion statement?? πŸ€”)

I love this part of me because of its softness. For years I've fought against my appetite and my genetics, trying to shrink my body to the smallest and leanest it can be 😯 But no matter how much weight I lost...I still had a curvy butt. This is partially because I'm a dancer who relies on her glutes and thighs, and because I have hypermobile joints and have to strengthen those muscles to support my hips. It's also just simple DNA πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ So why fight something you're never gonna change? Why not try accepting it, reclaiming it from years of self-hatred, and embracing it? ❀️

Today has been a really shit day for me mentally. Everyday I struggle to accept myself and see my worth. The truth is there's so many things I want to change about myself but instead I'm learning to love them and accept them. It's an extremely long and difficult process, especially after so many years of self hatred, but I'm trying to change my perception and see the good in my 'flaws'. I hope you can love yourself because living your life hating who you are is no way to fulfil your life, nor achieve true happiness. Love those around you and help them see the good in themselves.

Feeling the Humpday?
Do you ever feel like you are getting stuck in a rut? The same routine? You feel like you are making no progress? You are not exactly sure what one of you million goals you want to focus on at one time?

Right now, this is kind of me. I have an immediate goal then a slightly longer (4-6week goal) and then obviously a longer term goal - to get back on stage in April.

But, since coming back from my wonderful trip I have been going a little in circles. Training is consistent a week, then shocking a week. Food is great, then I have a social life even and have to cut it drastically to fit treats in leaving me shattered and fatigued. I know I put a lot of pressure on myself - and I know a lot of you do too!

We can't be perfect all the time. We are human. Sometimes things don't go to plan, sometimes we get stuck.

So my preach. For the next 4 weeks I am going to 'up my game' (comp prep style). If I get to where I want to be great - if not I will extend it for a further 2 weeks (6 weeks total). I will share my progress on my Instagram.
What this will mean from me:
- 100% macro tracking
- 100% training commitment
- Additional cardio/HIIT where required
- No booze
- minimum sweets/chocolate/treats
- No super late nights burning the candle at both ends
- A positive mindset
- A determination to get the shreds
- JUST GETTING SHT DONE!!
