GLUTE ACTIVATION (talk)
We don't move around enough! Most of us are stuck sitting at desks working or in class all day. This conditions the glutes (or butt ) to not activate properly when actually moving. This is so so counterproductive to the gains we want to make when we go into the gym and start squatting or lunging. Lack of activation can lead to lower back pain, hip pain, knee pain and even ankle pain. It could also mean that you aren't lifting as much as you like or usually do. In terms of appearance, if you are actively working out legs and glutes, and aren't seeing that your glutes are getting perkier or firmer, this could be a sign that your glutes aren't activated.
Therefore, you need to make sure that you are doing Glute Activation Exercises before your workout routine. Having strong glutes is key to being pain-free and getting great results from your workouts.
Glute Activation is about more than doing a bunch of squats and lunges during your workouts. Activating your glutes means first loosening up tight muscles from sitting all day at a desk and then getting them activated BEFORE you move on to the big lifts like squats and lunges.

✌🏻 Two band resisted ab circuit videos in a row! I let @lindscorbb take the easier one yesterday ❤️🤗 This one’s probably a little too advanced for her ... 😶

😵 The front plank row holds are no joke. I think they’re the hardest exercise out of this circuit. Make sure you’re keeping your hips square to the ground, your rib cage down, and you’re tucking your pelvis in towards your belly button. This creates an insane amount of tension in not just your abs, your entire body. Rowing with the band instead of holding it there makes the exercise a little easier, it’s still brutal either way if you’re doing it right.

❤️ Warning: The Plank Tuck Jumps kind of get your heart rate going and will turn this into a mini cardio ab circuit.

If you're wondering how to further engage the core while doing a prone leg raise, then you must use a suspension trainer to do so (or really anything you can push your hands down on really hard). The downward force your hands will force the core to stabilize the torso. DM me if you've got questions on how to make core training more effective.

If you’re not able to hold a solid side plank for at least 30 seconds, these moves may be too advanced for you... But don’t worry because 6 months I couldn’t do these moves and here I am today! You got this, keep pushing 👊
