Everyone starts somewhere. As I’m heading into 2018 and my fifth year of fitness but my second year of being truly serious, I am excited to see what this year brings. Even with having to get though my broken foot right now. I’m not letting it stop me from my dreams. 💫 —-
I do have some exciting news! I recently found out I will be starting as an brand ambassador for the company #JustFit !! This will be a truly new and exciting experience. I may not be able to do a show the start of this year like I hoped due to the setbacks I’ve been given. But! I have this exciting journey to start on! —-
Always remember when you get discouraged or don’t feel like you can do it. Just TRY! As long as you try, you have already #won ! There will always be people stronger than you, but there will also always be someone that you’re stronger than. No matter what PR we hit, or BMI we get down to. We will never be 100% satisfied. We will always see something we want to change or fix. So just love yourself! And be PROUD of any accomplishment you make. They will pay off!! —-

Was in the mood to destroy myself un the gym 🤦🏼‍♀️. That first training session after a few weeks off... And you just can’t be easy on yourself. Had 60kg squat planned so obviously went for 6*3 with 90kg. Swipez for video’s of bench with 55kg and some pullups. Rather easy 5*5’s.

Alternative renegade kettlebell row;

Set yourself up in a standard push-up position with feet on a bench or box with a Kettlebell in front of you were your hands are to be. A slightly wider Leg position than your standard press up position is advised but don’t have to as can make hard if leg closer together for balance and control.
Once in the push up position push one Hand into the floor hard using your force to lift the kettlebell up towards your Chest.
Return the Kettlebell that is at your Chest to the floor and repeat the rep again for set number of reps. Contract your muscles and squeeze / engage your core. Remember at all times to keep your Abs in a locked positon and keep the whole core of your body tight and contract throughout the Kettlebell Renegade Row. Any relaxing of your body during this movement could result in a muscular injury.

Andddd week 1 is officially complete! Did 35 minutes of LISS followed by Day 3 of @adrienelouise 'sTrue #30daysofyoga!! I may do some yoga tomorrow for my rest day as well. It feels great on my VERY sore muscles. ☀️

During this journey, I've also decided to track my macros - & my goal is to eat low(er) carb/high fat. Since type 2 diabetes runs in my family, I want to make sure I'm not consuming too much glucose. Today is the first day I consumed over 80g of carbs (I was craving popcorn 🙈), but it is still only 120g. For the most part, I haven't had any cravings this week & have been loving eating healthier. Hoping it stays that way! 😊
