🥗Loosing weight, dropping body fat, getting lean, whatever you want to call it, the main issue I see is people accomplish their goals, but then bounce back to where they were before (sometimes even worse). Obviously, this is pretty demotivating and can result in a life time of yo-yoing between your ‘ideal body shape’ and ‘out of shape.’

🥦So how do you give yourself a chance of maintaining your ideal body shape in the long term. Firstly, you have to stop being short sighted. For instance, instead of going on some stupid fat diet to drop 10kg as quick as possible, only for it to bounce back again, say to yourself, I’d like to lose 10kg over the year and accomplish these things along the way....

💪Focus on getting stronger and building muscle. The more muscle you have, the more calories required to keep and grow/repair said muscle. This leads to a leaner physique and, most importantly, staying lean in the LONG TERM

🍛Habits only take 21 days to build is utter crap. They can take months if not years. But the best thing is, once training 3 times a week, for example, becomes a habit, it’s part of your life in the long term....

🕰️On that note, living a overall healthy lifestyle is the ultimate long term aim. Starting again every 6 months because you failed to do these 4 things is NOT a healthy lifestyle. It’s insanity almost. Please start looking more into the long term and do your body and mind a favour .

Last meal of the week!! Open-faced and hubby approved clean eats turkey sloppy joes. 😊 So proud of myself for planning AND sticking with my meals for the entire week. Even the WEEKEND!! Weekends we used to always leave to chance & just wing it. Not that it would just all be terrible but that usually means eating out (which is rarely as clean as ANYTHING you could make at home) and spending unnecessary money. Diggin these new habits & my progress so far. Arms are feeling strong and lean, legs are following suite & even more important, my MIND feels so in control. Like all of the temptations I faced this weekend, I knew my focus. I know I can have whatever I want. Food isn’t going anywhere. It’s just that the things I’m choosing are different now.
