#hiddencondition

Nearly one in three people in England have a long term condition. Many of these are β€˜invisible’ or not easily noticeable to someone else. More often than not, sufferers do not experience compassion or support for the (sometimes chronic) pain and inhibiting illness they have to cope with, due to a lack of knowledge and understanding.β €
β €
We have been working with a handful of creative professionals including a sound engineer, a musician and a couple of designers, alongside seven artists; to produce an interactive installation - The Hubbub.
β €
Visitors to The Hubbub will be invited to touch, talk, think and feel – learning how society can become more inclusive to help people with hidden conditions such as ME, fibromyalgia, autism and depression. β €
β €
From sound installations to a conversation garden and the quiet, safe space of the den. Including video, two-dimensional art and interactive sculpture; the HUBBUB is not a conventional exhibition.

The project has been supported by the Arts Council England, Big Lottery Fund and The Betty Messenger Foundation.β €
β €
The Hubbub is at Brighton Dome this weekend, the 8th and 9th July; a free gallery showcase that helps people understand the daily impact of having a long term illness despite the sufferer not looking sick. β €

A little about our #sibo story and the inspiration behind our recipes and page. Jake spent years after a bout of food poisoning ill and unable to get diagnosed. People were beginning to think it was all in his head but really it was a #hiddencondition Finally we got a positive sibo result and knew what we were up against. In the past year we've both dramatically changed our diets following the #lowfodmap and #scd we love the principles of #paleo and enjoy many #vegan dishes but with a condition that rules out so many fruits, vegetables, starches, binding agents and sugar it's really tough which is why we are starting our own food blog. Coming soon with simple #siborecipes and tutorials for making yummy food that's good for your tummy #foodblog #onitsway #freefromlife #sibodiet #dairyfreeliving #glutenfree #sugarfree #autoimmune #plantbased #rawfood #cleaneating #eathealthy #veganlife #makeyourownpath #becreative #foodheals
