I'm shameless in my pain management lol @heyfranhey taught me that black strap molasses can fortify you and alleviate cramps about a decade ago. @she.is.awake reminded me of fresh ginger tea today. I personally find relief in rice packs. You can fill an old sock with uncooked rice and add a few drops of your favorite essential oil (lavender of course) and tie it off. Heat in the microwave for long lasting relief. These basically last forever. (I wore this to my friend's house cause no one wants a cranky K.) happy period!

Try and make a small positive goal each week rather then focusing on removing the negative habits. With each of my clients we focus on 3-4 goals to change over four weeks and then slowly start to change our health and wellbeing instead of trying to change everything at once and set ourselves up for failure. πŸ’™

We live in this crazy fast paced world and It's so easy to let the noise of what everyone else thinks drown you out.
It's so easy to compare yourself to someone else and all their successes.

It's so easy to live in the fear that you are not good enough and people won't accept you.

I get it because that's were I use to live, in this place where I constantly told myself I wasn't pretty enough or skinny enough or worth much.
All those thoughts were affirmed every time I looked at a magazine cover or an advertisement and didn't measure up to "their" standards.
I quickly forgot who I was and tried to morf into everyone else's idea of what I should be and look like.
It didn't take long before my life was overcome with anxiety and depression.
Once I figured out that maybe I should stop trying to make everyone else happy things started to shifts.

By no means with this easy.

I had become dependent on others options to measure my worth.

What if they didn't agree with me?

What if they didn't like me?

What if it didn't make them happy?

All these thoughts ran over and over in my head.
Some days it felt I was fighting war that I wasn't going to win.

The more I stood my ground and the more I let myself just be me the happier I became.

My anxiety and depression lifted, I got use to using my voice because I knew it mattered, I knew what I had to say meant something.

People are not always going to see things the way do but it doesn't make it any less important.
Not all people will like you and that's ok because they aren't your people.

Your people will love you.

Your people will get you and appreciate you just as you are.
Don't let someone steal your light because they are afraid of theirs.
You matter.

Hey hey!! Latergram...but my egg obsession has been ridiculous lately...no shame! I'm keeping at it. And I missed my eggs in vacation so today was a day for scrambled eggs again!! Facing this fear over n over has allowed it to no longer be a fear food anymore πŸ™ŒπŸ». I made myself 3 eggs--with 2 slices of American cheese, 1/3 cup 1% milk and seasonings. I used the microwave to make them fast snd they were still epic! So fluffy and cheesy! Mmmm. I love eggs! I need another bowl πŸ˜‚. Screw ED for keeping me away from them for so long!

Have you guys heard of this sparkling mineral water called Gerolsteiner? I recently discovered it at Trader Joes. It peaked my interest since I've been looking for a natural mineral water. The water is purified through 250 meters of volcanic rock in Germany. It is rich in calcium, magnesium, bicarbonate and trace minerals. .

I've never been fond of mineral water, because I never found one that I liked, until now. I really like the flavor of Gerolsteiner. It's crisp and neutral, no bitterness or saltiness. The only thing I wonder is how much minerals are actually getting absorbed. Our bodies can only assimilate one mineral at a time, so if there are two or more minerals introduced in the body, then only one will get absorbed and the rest will be flushed out. Regardless, Gerolsteiner is rich in minerals and trace minerals, which our bodies need. The company collects 300 water test samples a day. They do daily in-house testing and are regularly tested by outside labs. The only thing I don't care for is that it is shipped from Germany. Not very sustainable. But finding clean, mineral rich water is becoming difficult to acquire nowadays. .

There's a natural hot springs nearby that I've been wanting to checkout for some time. It's called the Matilijia hot springs in Ojai. It's rich in sulphur, which seems to be the ultimate healing springs. You need permission to go there. Hopefully I'll be able to go someday. .
