Fitbit stats from yesterday: I’m really proud of myself. I did so well with my HIIT... but I injured my right foot. 😑
So I’m making today my rest day because my foot is saying “nope” to leg day. Being old sucks but at least it’s made me wise enough to listen to my body. 💁🏼👵🏼
Happy Fri-yay! It feels like the weekend because Corbin didn’t have school today. I’m sooooo excited for this weekend. Taking Corbin and Sidney to a bounce-o-rama festival tomorrow and then on Sunday Boo at the zoo! I really want to squeeze a trip to the pumpkin patch but I don’t know that we will have time. 😊

#HappyFriday y’all. Here’s a super set for your shoulder workout. This is a workout for both men and women. I hear women often say “I wish my shoulders were more defined and shaped.” Lateral raises can help with that! Notice how my dumbbells are coming upwards. I am putting my pinky’s up, like I am pouring that OJ into my cup in the morning. This helps focus on that medial side of that delt. Workout 2 is set up so hit the front delts. You have two options on these. Go half way up and get that half rep, or fully extend those elbow and get the full contraction at the top. 4 sets of these with 1 minute of recovery time in between sets will do it 😊

Entgegen der lächerlich frühen Uhrzeit lief die Beuge komplett nach Plan. Nach der Einwaage (5 kg weniger als auf der LM) war ich zwar durchwegs fokussiert, durch die “Erfahrung” aus vorherigen Wettkämpfen aber kaum nervös. 👌 Konnte auch nicht schaden als Member des #teameigentlichzulauchigfürdmsaberfuckitichmachstrotzdem keinen Cut nötig zu haben. 😛 Die Warmups fühlten sich trotz rutschiger Stange an wie im Training. Koffein und Sludge Metal auf voller Lautstärke gesellten sich wieder dann als treue Begleiter, um mich auf die 3 Beugen vorzubereiten. 160 waren finalmente konservativer Drittversuch ✔. Über das nach vorne Kippen in der Konzentrik und die überambitionierte Tiefe kann man sich in der kommenden Off-Season Gedanken machen. Bin jetzt erstmal hyped, dass ich die Leistungen aus der Vorbereitung erfolgreich abgerufen und mir nen ordentlichen PR erarbeitet habe. 😍

#FlashbackFriday Even though it's only been 4 days since I ate this low cal low carb delight I'm already clucking to get stuck into one again after 4 days of depletion. Even with the dessert at just 20g protein, 6g carbs and 4g fat I have restricted myself completely for this 4 day depletion! Just means it will taste all the nicer when I make it next!

This breakfast wrap is bomb! Flat out protein up wrap, 2 eggs, 2 pork sausage rounds, tablespoon of bacon ranch, and 1 ounce of cheese! ... I’m trying to have a bigger breakfast and then bigger dinner and only a snack at lunch time if I need it because I have been feeling like I’m forcing myself to eat dinner. So I’m going to try and see if not having a lunch and just having a smaller snack helps :) Macros:

Oh how a year can make a difference. Maybe not much physically, but definitely mentally. Ever since I switched from clean eating (aka eating clean and then binging out on “off limit” foods) to flexible dieting my relationship with food has changed drastically. Now that nothing is off limits, there’s no reason for me to binge on foods if I fall off the wagon, because there’s no such thing as falling off the wagon now. I haven’t had a “cheat meal” in probably half a year because there’s no need to. You just fit in whatever it is you want to eat. No need to cheat on your diet that way. I can tell my body has responded a lot better too because I’m not constantly falling off the wagon and eating 1000+ calories in one sitting every week or so. 🙏🏼 Don’t be scared to try the flexible dieting approach. You still eat “clean foods”, aka micronutrient dense healthy foods 80% of the time, but then you get to enjoy your favorite foods/treats the other 20% of the time. Without a weekly or monthly cheat meal or cheat day thrown in, your body is able to respond quicker and stay on track better since you’re not intentionally derailing it. Flexible dieting FTW!
