Refined sugar free oat and raisin cookies: - 200g oats
- 150g oat flour
- 2 tbsp cinnamon - 65g melted coconut oil - 175ml maple
- 60g raisins

Preheat oven to 180c, line baking tray with baking paper, mix ingredients together, and bake for 10 minutes, before leaving to cool for 5-10 minutes.

Yields 15 medium sized cookies - 183kcal each

Die ganze Pizza hatte 506 kcal, 64g Eiweiß, 30g KH und 11g Fett 📊
Ich habe den ganzen Tag hauptsächlich im Bett verbracht, da ich noch ziemlich erkältet bin 🤧
Ich hasse solche unproduktiven Tage! Da musste es heute Abend mal etwas Soulfood geben 😍

I’ve been a bad weight watcher this weekend!! Has good intentions but the day ended up soooo boozy and we had pizza, pork and stuffing barm, bratwurst, and mustard chicken between us during the day 😂🙈 paying for it today! The sad reality is eating healthy can be expensive. 😞 As a family of 6 on one income, it it's a weekly struggle to feed my family good, wholesome food while sticking to a tight budget. And I know it's a struggle many families face as well so here are a few tips to eating healthy on a budget:

1. Eat in season! I could devour watermelon and cherries all year long but sadly they're only in season certain times in the year. Of course in modern America you can get most things anytime but you're going to pay a lot more money out of season. Not sure what's in season in your area? Google! And if you absolutely need something not in season then go frozen! It's cheaper and just as healthy!

2. Take advantage of farmers markets and/or co-ops when/if they're available. Not only will you often pay less but I find it often tastes better! One word of warning, though: farmers markets are very trendy right now and some are just glorified Instagram photo shoots with items that are mass produced and often very expensive. Avoid those tourists traps and seek out the real deals!

3. Shop sale ads! If you have different grocery chains in your area then compare their ads to find the best prices on apples, chicken breasts, etc. Use apps like Flipp to quickly compare prices. And most ad cycles start mid week so be sure to keep an eye out for the new ones and then plan your menu!

4. Be flexible with your proteins! Chicken breasts are great but pricey. Consider buying less popular cheaper cuts like thighs or go vegetarian for a meal or two and use cheap but hearty beans or grains.

5. Coupons! Every Sunday, without fail, you will find me hunched over the kitchen island clipping and sorting this week's coupons. Now it's true most coupons are for junk food (looking at you Oreos!) But you can also find great ones for pantry staples like rice, beans, oil, butter, cheese, etc. Plus household items like paper products and diapers/wipes. Not ready to devote time to physical coupons? Then go electronic! Most stores, like Kroger and Whole Foods, have easy to find e-coupons that you can load to a rewards card, an app or with your phone number.
