I went to the gym today! First time since I was like six or seven months pregnant. .
My workout had no rhyme or reason because I was just so excited to be there I wanted to do everything. (Yes, I’m one of those people who actually enjoys working out). I was like a kid in a candy shop. .
If your form of exercise doesn’t get you “jump out of bed” excited then you’re doing it wrong. There’s so many forms of exercise - running, weight lifting, boxing, Pilates, CrossFit, etc. - find what you love!

I used to get discouraged because I would see others attain their goals so quickly and I was fast to blame my thyroid and autoimmune. My mindset needed to change because I don't know what personal struggles they are dealing with. We are all on a different journey and now I have learned to ask questions.

This weird picture is our cast iron wok. It's a heavy mofo that lives on top of our kitchen cupboard, up near the ceiling. I picked it up to put it away today and had a very pleasant realization: it's not heavy anymore. I mean, it still weighs what it's always weighed. But I'm stronger. A lot stronger. I used to dread having to put it away. Today it was easy-peasy. And this, my friends, is the awesome functional reason to lift. (I mostly lift because I just fucking love lifting. But this is a terrific bonus. Speaking honestly, I have followed the same nutrition guide for a few years now and it has been great. Super simple, flexible & I know I’m always getting WHAT & HOW MUCH I need. BUT...I haven’t always planned it out the best.
I’d eat according to what I was able to, but as a busy mama it was more of a by-the-seat-of-my-pants way of doing it, then I’d end up with a mod podge of foods I had left, leaving me snacking before bed👎🏽..& I wonder why I’m still bloated most days🤦🏽‍♀️ This new program is the same ‘plan’ but so precise with WHEN I eat. Tbh I was nervous about following something so specific but decided that I won’t see max results if I continue like I have been, plus this honest makes it so much EASIER!! I know what I’ll be eating & when, & I’ve prepped food in between playing with the babes all morning!🙌🏽 I’ll be sharing my super simple meal plan with the girls in my group to hopefully help them on their journey as well!(that’s my job!😉) I’m honestly so excited to see where I am at the end of these 80 days of FOCUS & Obsession!!😁🎉

#throwbackthursday for you today. This was my restart after the first 40 ish pounds and feeling like I still looked pregnant 16 months after my son was born. Between these pictures there are plenty of ups and downs, plenty of times I skipped the gym when I probably should’ve gone and also going to the gym when it was the last thing I wanted to do. There were plenty of great moments and some pretty rough ones too. It definitely hasn’t been a straight shot down in the scale. There were plenty of binge eating episodes that ran much longer than I would like to than I would like to admit. Biggest thing of all is I am still here. Rep PR! 6 x 190#/86.4kg. My previous max was 190x3, so I’m really happy about this. This was after 6x150#/68.2kg and 6x170#/77.3kg - and front squats and dumbbell bench before that.
