I don't know if it was because of nostalgia or something but i loved every freaking second of this film. Felt like a kid again hearing "Bare Necessities" and "I Wanna Be Like You". Other than Lion King and Toy Story i grew up always watching Jungle Book. Even playing the Sega Genesis game of it, so this was a fun trip back to my childhood. The voice casts were fantastic as well. Idris Elba was the perfect choice for Shere Khan. Score was great as well. Only thing i would of changed would be King Louie's size. Not that much more and you would of had freaking King Kong. The Jungle Book gets an A from me.
Well, "The Last Jedi" is finally here and it is just incredible. I would go as far to say that this might possibly be my new favorite Star Wars film. First, the cast, the whole cast did great, Mark Hamill did fantastic in this film, Carrie Fisher as well, Daisy Ridley, Oscar Issac, and John Boyega all continue to do great also. The standout for me though has to be Adam Driver as Kylo Ren, Driver makes you feel what his character is feeling, you feel Kylo's anger and conflict and feel what he is going through while watching him and Kylo Ren is becoming my favorite character because of Driver's performance. I'm not going to get into the story much to stay away from spoilers, but I will say the continuation of Rey's story is fantastic and I loved how they used Leia and Luke in this film as well, some story points I really didn't think needed to be there, but I was definitely still being entertained. Another thing I loved about this film is the chances it takes, because it was not afraid to take a chance and try to give is something different and I really enjoyed that. This film has twists and turns and this is one of those films where you'll be watching it and say it's going to go this way, but then it goes in a completely different direction and surprises you and I love that. Of course I have to compliment the score by John Williams because it is great once again and I will never get tired of hearing that opening title theme. My main negatives with the film are that it does start to drag a tiny bit around the end, some story points really didn't need to be there, but I didn't mind them, and there was some noticeable green screen in certain scenes, but it didn't really bother me. "The Last Jedi" was great and what I wanted to be and I am excited to see it again and just to have another Star Wars film. I'm giving "The Last Jedi" a 9.6/10 #thelastjedi
Baywatch is the 2017 reboot of the 90s tv show starring a young Pam Anderson (which is probably why anyone even watched) and of course The Hoff. I vaguely remember anything from the show besides Pam Anderson running. Anyways this movie wasn't terrible like the critics are proclaiming it to be, it's actually pretty fun and enjoyable. The Rock and Zac Efron were hilarious together. My favorite thing was Rock calling Efron High School Musical. Would love to see them together in something again. The rest of the cast did pretty good as well. There was nothing really "laugh my ass off funny" but there's enough laughs for a good time. Kinda sad Hannibal Buress had such a short role. Love him. Some of the jokes of course were stupid and more crude than the television show but what do you expect? Green Screen was really noticeable on some parts. The fire on the boat towards the beginning was awful. You could tell how fake it was. The villain was pretty bland. Just the same generic I'll bribe my way to the top and kill anyone who opposes me stuff. Pacing was a problem too. Could of done with half an hour less. Felt really long. Didn't understand how it tried being serious for a bit. Just stick to straight comedy. For the most part it does realize it's nothing more than fun and sometimes stupid entertainment. Oh one last thing. The cameos were nice but come on they were spoiled in the opening credits. Baywatch gets a C from me.

Boy, 16 years ago this franchise started with street racing and now they're stopping the world from being destroyed by nukes. Is the galaxy next? Vin Diesel has some experience in that department. Anyways Fate of the Furious is installment number 8 in this nearly twenty year franchise. In my opinion the franchise would of ended perfectly with Furious 7 but there's still reportedly going to be 2 more installments until we get to Fur10us. The F&F movies have always been pretty action packed since Fast Five and this one is no different. The action scenes in this are pretty freaking crazy. My favorite scenes were the prison scene towards the beginning and the Jason Statham scene on the airplane towards the end. Statham and The Rock were definitely the highlight of the movie anytime they shared a scene together. I'd love to see a spinoff featuring those two. Anyways the story was okay and Don's betrayal reason was cliche but oh well. Who watches these movies for oscar worthy story telling anyways? Scott Eastwood was a nice addition to the cast. He didn't do too much but I liked him for what it was worth. Him and Roman's interactions were pretty funny. Charlize Theron was good I guess. She didn't really get hands on in anyway or get physical with at least Letty but I guess that's being saved for another movie. You know Letty is gonna get her hands on her. I enjoyed Furious Seven more but this was still a pretty solid and fun addition to the franchise. Fate of the Furious gets a C+ from me.
The Last Jedi (spoiler-free) (2017)
The Last Jedi builds upon the themes introduced in The Force Awakens, but a rushed plot and its inherent cynicism needlessly weighs it down.
The Resistance has been broken. Fleeing the might of the First Order, Princess Leia, Poe, and Finn try increasingly desperate measures to escape. Meanwhile, Rey attempts to recruit the last Jedi Master Luke Skywalker to the Rebel's cause while grappling with her fractured identity.
Director Rian Johnson demonstrates commendable ambition in tackling issues such as the struggle for balance, destiny, hope, and the nature of war. His attempt to ground Jedi's thematic breadth through an intimate scope works for the most part.
Still, it is hard to shake the feeling that Johnson might have placed more weight on Jedi than its structure can handle. Numerous key reveals feel rushed, some plot points just do not make any sense, and we are never allowed time to linger in the film's emotional beats. At least one major character's arc is left puzzlingly unresolved. Its hectic nature, compounded by a cynicism that rips into the very fabric of the Star Wars universe, creates a film that can at times feel rather oppressive. While this might be meant to mirror the similarly darker themed The Empire Strikes Back, it struggles to arrive at an enjoyable equilibrium, with some of its attempt at humor falling flat.
This is simultaneously the most Star Wars and least Star Wars film of the entire franchise. It is filled with what we love about the saga - epic lightsaber and space battles, the philosophical conflict between the Light and Dark sides of the Force, and lovable furry aliens. However, the message of hope which forms the foundation of the saga is only paid lip service to here. In leaving our beloved characters in a very bleak place, this is a Star Wars film that seems very much a product of our time and fundamentally at odds with the timeless quality of the original trilogy and even The Force Awakens.

REVIEW: This isn't just a love story, there's also a heavy metaphysical presence that dwells inside of Thelma and the decisions she makes. Trier does a great job of carefully showing us some sad, but necessary moments that are the consequence of family trauma as well. Thelma is a slow burn, but delivers in its final moments to show viewers the bigger picture.
FINAL REVIEW: 7.1/10

This review was written back in 2015 right after I binge-watched these two films.
I'm obsessed with the feeling when I get home after watching good movies. It's feels really good, and that is how I felt after watching these two movies. So the thing is I used to be a big fan of monsters related stories such as Fear Street and Goosebumps by R.L. Stine, I mean I still am but not as big as I was. Anw, the point is I love those books, but I didnt know they were making Goosbumps movie with Jack Black in it, until my friend told me. So I was like "let's go, dude, it's worth a shot" and YES the movie is super fun yet thrilling. Glad they put some hilarious spots. I really went LMAO I think it's clever to put R.L. Stine in a lil cameo appearance as Mr. Black lol. Trully, it's a very fine treat for halloween.
And as for The Martian... aaaah I dont think I need too write any comments about it. I just wanna say, thank u so much, Mr. Scott for making my hands sweaty for the last 15 minutes. Also, thanks for casting Sebi my lil chubby dumpling, I really wanna bring him home. My home. Ahahhaha
The most important lesson: dont get upset when people say that you look like a potato, cos that means you are a hero. Potatos can save life. Even in Mars. *Vulcan salute*
The Martian: 8,2/10

BEWARE OF CRIMSON PEAK!!! This is really not what I exactly expected to feel after watching Crimson Peak. Well, I predicted to see some sadness but not exactly this tragic. Tbh, it leaves me numbly devastated.
As I've known before that the main theme of the story is not about human fighting ghosts, coz they are only there as metaphor of the past. It focuses on the romance aspect which is so strong and makes it beautiful, romantic and little bit kinky hihi But it doesn't stop there, drama, violence, and madness come along and drive me insane especially in the last 20 minutes. Thanks, Guillermo.
What makes the movie so spooky is mainly the house. Its red mire, its rotten woods, and its desperately hidden secret, are the things that create a delightfully creepy and shameful atmosphere. It's called crimson peak.
At the beginning, the story is a bit in a rush, I think, but it can manage to get more focused in every minute. What's pleasing me is the whole visual details, the Victorian aspects like the dancing and the costume. Very well put.
Overall, it's another Guillermo Del Toro's fine work. It is romantic and sexy yet tragic and thrilling. Jessica Chastain wins my heart. There is a good 20 minutes at the end where she turns out to be wow. It commands your attention for every second of it.
Lesson learned: Don't be too possessive and controlling in giving love, coz it'll turn out to be madness, and madness doesn't end well. "in the end, the love we take is equal to the love we make"

Time to talk about this British drama movie, Legend. The film features the double-trouble presence of @tomhardy as both Reggie and Ronnie Kray, the twins who ruled London back in 60s.
Actually, this is more about the performance of the man who once again makes me swoon by his mag-ni-fi-cent acting talent. He plays the schizophrenic, thoughtless and brutal but comical Ronnie Kray convincingly, while the other one, Reggie, is a swaggy, charming and romantic but sadistic Kray which he also plays very gracefully. You can say that one is more a hero and the other is more a monster, but Tom makes sure the lines are blurry so you can't really tell. The moment you think A is the badie and B is the goodie, you will then reallize that it can be the other way around coz both are smartly twisted in their own characteristic. And Tom is killing it.
It's basically a family drama with two bad boys in it. The special thing is that these boys do not broke neighbors' windows with their balls, but they own bars, shoot people in their head, and rule London hahaha. I love the Reggie-Ronnie brawl scene. It shows how much Reggie hates Ronnie and really wants to kill him, but he can't simply because he's his brother and he loves him. Aww~ It's a rare thing to see: an actor creating chemistry with himself
The story is narrated by Reggie's loving and delicate wife, to whom they (Reggie and Ronnie) are LEGENDS.
After watching this, I finally discovered that the term "Kray Kray/Cray Cray" doesnt refer to the word "Crazy" but it originally refers to the Kray brothers who were completely Kray Kray back then haha

Based on the famous French film, The Wages of Fear, this intense thriller from director William Friedkin gets a much awaited blu ray release with an amazing hd transfer. The movie, Friedkin’s most expensive project and a total failure at the box office, is an almost perfect piece of cinema. The direction here is sublime, with intense scenes that make you wonder how some of these unbelievable truck stunts have been performed. A movie that’s definitely ahead of its time, it garnered a cult following and is a
worthy watch nowadays.

Make a radical change in your lifestyle and begin to boldly do things which you may previously never have thought of doing, or been too hesitant to attempt. So many people live within unhappy circumstances and yet will not take the initiative to change their situation because they are conditioned to a life of security, conformity, and conservation, all of which may appear to give one peace of mind, but in reality nothing is more damaging to the adventurous spirit within a man than a secure future. The very basic core of a man's living spirit is his passion for adventure. The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun. If you want to get more out of life, you must lose your inclination for monotonous security and adopt a helter-skelter style of life that will at first appear to you to be crazy. But once you become accustomed to such a life you will see its full meaning and its incredible beauty.
So excited to travel again this Christmas. Only 10 more days and we are Canada bound! Finally get to see snow for the first time since moving from New York. Lots and lots of snow and ice and possible freezing pain but I’ll be snugly dressed as Randy from “A Christmas Story” so it will all be ok.
