Any lifts with a break right before initialing the lift is a great addition to the original lifts. It really improves your strength as well as your technique. ✌🏼

This is Rhett, he and his sister have been working with me throughout the summer and into the school year. This squat is the product of a lot of hard work through the last few months and I am beyond proud to have been able to work with him and Trista. Rhett is 12 years old, 90 lbs and just squatted 112 lbs ! I'm excited to see what else is to come!

Made some progress today...and felt like I moved fairly well thankfully. The difference is slight, but noticeable. Pushing my big toe into the ground and loading my traps/upper back in the first pull helped me stay over the bar better and make some progress in alleviating my alligator arms which has been a fault of mine forever. My lower back is letting me know it did work today...which is good. I need to work on continuing pushing through the floor to get a bit more extension too I think....but some of that is because I still don't have my legs completely back yet. They are coming slowly but surely though.

I'm also working really hard on generating a sense of active relaxation during the lift...'feeling' the weight move rather than trying to control it with 'muscle' to better help in creating a dynamic rythm....which for me trumps the amount of weight I am moving...though obviously the more weight the more better lol.
