Week 2. 5 plates x 8. Strength going up!!
Deadlift spark notes ⬇️👇📩⏬⤵️📉 1. Approach the bar. Feet shoulder width apart, toes pointed slightly outward (if natural for you), bar hovering mid foot.
2. Grab the bar with both hands placed JUST outside your legs (no wider!). 3. Straighten your knees and put butt in the air to release all tension

4. IN ONE MOTION, bend your knees (shins coming in contact with the bar) dropping your butt, tightening up your back (pinching shoulder blades) and popping out your chest. ALL WHILE TAKING A DEEP INHALE. At this point, you have created pre tension on the bar.
5. Exhale in a controlled EXPLOSIVE manner upwards, driving the ground away from you through your heals.
6. Finish by extending the knees. The bar should NEVER lose contact with your legs. Therefore, you don't just want to pull straight up, but also pull somewhat backwards by popping your chest out and fighting to keep shoulders back.
Deadlifts works more muscles than almost any other exercise, including the squat! Therefore, they produce mass amounts of strength/muscle. If you have ANY hopes of building a bigger back, butt, traps or even biceps, I would start by getting stronger at deadlifts!!!! #fitness #fit #goals #gym #lifting #fitnessmotivation

Ce soir, je peux dire fièrement que j’ai mérité ma belle médaille de bronze. Après 1 podium départemental en 2015 (senior Open -83 kg) et en 2017 (senior Open -105 kg), j’ajoute à mon actif une 3 eme place en championnat régional de Nouvelle Aquitaine (senior Open -105 kg). Une médaille qui marque une fois de plus l’évolution de mon total avec +15 kg. First squat/Saturday back after the meet. Went with 50% for crisp, smash weight at six sets of doubles. Felt good. I’m definitely starting this cycle in a much better disposition than the last time.
Followed with zercher harness good mornings, sets of five against quadded micro bands.
This cycle, a bigger goal is to gain weight (15-20 lbs). Let’s see...

Not impressive numbers,completely raw no knee wraps or anything at this meet and was under the impression i couldnt obtain state records at this meet so i played safe to get 9/9 , missed bench by 12lbs, and Deadlifts by 10lbs or i would have had them all.... overall small achievement on the way up... and a shout out to @lil_mis600 for keeping me pushing amd my team! .

Wenn man sich während der Beuge Sätze wie "mach ma mehr Gewicht" oder "mit mehr Dampf" anhören muss, dann freut man sich einfach nur über die Tatsache, endlich mal nicht alleine zu liften 🤗
