Like so many of us, this is something that I really struggle with. I'm much better with my thoughts. I can catch myself having negative self-talk and stop or change them to be kinder. But I'm not good at treating my body with love and kindness. That's my challenge. So for the next 7 days I'm going to practise an act of self love for my body everyday. Let's see if I can do it. .

Sometimes you need to think about certain moments that happened in the past. However there should be a reason why you bring the past into the present moment. Perhaps it’s to learn something or understand what happened to help you grow and evolve. But be mindful not to get lost in the past by dwelling on what happened, by blaming yourself or others for what went wrong. That’s when you lose yourself in the past.

Do you make a point to do something that scares you at least once a day?! 🙈🙈🙈 If it wasn't for coaching, I would prob be asleep right now (night owl in full effect 🦉), stuck in the same shitty routine (aka sleeping with my dreams instead of chasing them🏃🏼‍♀️) and mentally preparing myself to go to a job that doesn't fulfill me or bring me joy 🙄. Fuck DAT right?! As in introvert and empath, my restaurant job was sooo draining because I had to talk to all the people and tune into all their needs. Mentally exhausting and emotionally draining. 😣 Not no mo! 💁🏼

One of the biggest things I have learned from this opportunity is the importance of getting out of the comfort zone (where dreams go to die 🔪☠️), and doing something that scares you at least once a day! 😈 🙌🏼Today my scary thing was making small talk with the barista 😂. I'd really rather just pay for my tea in silence, is that too much to ask?! .
I know some people are like "Cool 👍🏼, you're a coach. So wtf that mean thooo?🤔" Well today my day has looked like this: Up at 7:30. ✔️ Drop babe off at school and post up at a local coffee shop. ✔️Drink tea. ✔️ Read my personal development book. ✔️ Drink tea. ✔️Answer messages. ✔️ Drink tea. ✔️ Now soaking up all the good vibes ✨from my team page (where we share our business success and challenges) and learning how to grow my online health and fitness business from 3 of the badass babes I admire most in this business! 👩🏼‍💻🤓 #alwaysastudent .

At the end of her presentation she asked that we in the audience (30,000 people) perform random acts of kindness. Habit: Don't seek to find happiness through the actions of others ✋️ We should never seek to find our happiness through the actions of others as how other people behave is not fully in our control. Fail to do this and we automatically give possession over how we feel to another person. 🌟This therefore would lead to the assumption that we shouldn't set standards towards another person about how they should behave, as this again could lead us to feel negatively if they don't live up to these false standards. 👎 Instead persevere to practice acceptance towards others and to fill your day with habits that will help bring you peace and feeling positive. ✌️😊 Some of my habits I try to include in my day to achieve this is sport, good food and quality time with people I connect with. 🎾🌱😊Comment below what are yours ? 🎉

🕰NEW BLOG POST: 'How did it get so late so soon?'🕰 .

It's that time of year when many of us are wondering where on earth the time has gone as we wave our little ones off at the school gates. Time perception is a funny old thing. When you're in the midst of sleep deprived baby mayhem, it can feel like time is dragging its heels and yet suddenly your little pumpkin is starting Reception... or Year 1.... or Year 2/3/4...How did that happen? Before we know it they will be leaving the nest...... But can we slow down time?

A big thanks to the wonderful @thePsychologyMum who has written a post for us this week (link in bio⬆️) about our changing perception of time, the impact of multiple demands and distractions and some pragmatic ideas about how we really can slow....down... time.

As @thepsychologymum discribes it's really all about finding ways to increase the amount of 'attentional capacity' we have available. .

Here's some ideas to try: .
🕰Try to focus on one thing at a time (as far as you can with kids)
🕰Reduce competing demands as much as possible .
🕰Set limits on when you do things, e.g. checking emails and Instagram .
🕰Find ways to relax! Stress in itself uses a large amount of our attentional capacity ..
🕰Mindfulness - this is all about being present, in the moment, which can really help to slow life down.

Of course all these become all the more difficult when you have children kicking at your heals. However, it is worth thinking about where and how you could make adjustments, even small ones. 💕
