You have heard that pirates (and non-pirate sailors) used to suffer from scurvy, otherwise known as vitamin C deficiency. Symptoms of scurvy include loss of teeth 😱. In 1747, Dr James Lind began an experiment of sick sailors and discovered that scurvy could be prevented by eating oranges and lemons 🍊🍊🍋 This is because Vitamin C is vital for absorbing iron and producing collagen. Without enough collagen, tissues would start to break down 😁 . Thankfully scurvy is rare 😅 but o ranges, strawberries and broccoli are great sources of vitamin C for your little scallywags 😀

Siemka! Jak tam z waszymi treningami? 😃 dajecie rade? mam nadzieje, że tak 😉 u mnie trening 3 razy w tygodniu, a pomiędzy dniami treningowymi robie ogólny stretching całego ciała. Wykorzystuje do niego ćwiczenia zaczerpnięte z pilatesu i jogi. Oczywiście przed każdym treningiem też należy przy rozgrzewce zrobić kilku minutowy stretching, po treningu również.  Dlaczego warto go robić po treningu? ..aby zapobiec śpięciom i przykurczom mięśni, a jak wiadomo są one między innymi przyczyną stagnacji. Dodatkowo mięśnie będą lepiej odprowadzały substraty metaboliczne i zaopatrywały się w tlen i składniki odżywcze, a co za tym idzie szybciej rosły - jeśli taki masz cel. Ogólnie zalet rozluźniania jest bardzo wiele..dlatego poświęcam temu tyle uwagi, ale o tym będę mówił w innych postach. Moim celem nie jest na siłę wmówić Ci, że masz się rozluźniać przez stretching itp ćw., chcę tylko pokazać jakie ma zalety i co może Ci dać, a Ty sam zdecydujesz czy warto poświęcić temu uwagę 😉. Dla lepszego wzrostu pomiędzy treningami  równie dobrze działają aeroby: jogging, pływanie, jazda na rowerze, gry zespołowe itp., sam naprzemiennie dla urozmaicenia co weekend jedno z nich uprawiam. Ćw na zd jest najlepsze na rozciągnięcie mięśni: pośladkowych-większy i średni, oraz mięśnia gruszkowatego. Wykonując go przyciągaj lekko do kl piersiowej kolano kontrolując napięcie mm pośladkowych. Dla ciekawostki bóle w odc. lędźwiowym diagnozowane przez nas jako rwa kulszowa, wcale nie muszą nią być, ponieważ często przykurcz mięśnia gruszkowatego może uciskać nerw kulszowy, który daje takie objawy. Wystarczy przez np. to ćw rozciągnąć go i może się okazać, że ból minął🙄.
