✅ There are alot of push-up variations depending on the muscles you wanna hit. -
Keeping a 75 degree angle with your arms, will increase the pectorals’ engagement (decreasing the tricep’s one), just like when performing a bench press, while decreasing its angle, will increase the triceps’ one (by decreasing the chest activation). Basically, the closer you get to the torso with your arms, the more you’re going to engage your triceps, while moving outwards will result in chest activation & then injury zone in case you get too wide with the angle.

Bottom line: don’t go any further than 75 degree on your arm angle: besides reducing the muscles’ engagement, you’ll simply end up hurting either your elbows, shoulders or wrists.. or all of them.

Burpees suck almost as bad as my camera skills😂😂 but if you really don't want to go to the gym or if you're struggling to get back in, then these are a great way to overcome that hump. It makes it even more meaningful if you dedicate a set to some cause or in someone's honor.

So that workout just kicked my booty - 30 minutes of weights and 21 minutes of cardio with my little guy.
I’m coming off a couple days of not eating well - making puppy chow and cookies, eating pizza and not as many veggies as normal, and eating later than I’d normally do. When I get off track it’s so hard for me to reel myself back in and straighten up. But that’s ok - I’ll get there - that’s what my groups help me with!
I preach a healthy lifestyle and more than anything try my hardest to live by that life. Results and feeling good are MOSTLY from the food we put into our bodies. It is so true you cannot out eat a bad diet - believe me I tried for years!
The old Terra would be walking around feeling sorry for herself, look at her body and just get mad and then eat some more because I had “already ruined the day/week/month”. But now there is no more resentment, guilt, negative self talk (ok not as much!), or binge eating.
I’m better today than I was yesterday and tomorrow I’ll be even better than today. And that’s what I teach my girls - just do better tomorrow!
