Rear delts are a small muscle group located at the back of your shoulders & are important in creating balanced capped shoulders.
-
1) Seated Face Pull - As you pull the rope towards your face, imagine you’re trying to pull the rope apart, slightly rotate upward as if you were about to do a back double bicep pose, squeeze with each rep!
2) Bent-over Single Arm DB raise - Focus on pulling from your elbow & keep the reps controlled. Avoid using momentum.
3) Cable Single Arm Pulldown - This hits your lats but I also feel it a lot in my rear delts. Focus on pulling from your elbow down & keep in line with your torso.
4) Standing Single Arm on Cables - Similar motion to doing rear delts on the pec deck machine. Keep your elbow up high & keep constant tension.

Abs workouts.
1) WEIGHTED HANGING KNEE RAISES 3x 12 (DB between my feet)
2) CABLE LYING LEG RAISES 3x 15
3) AB WHEEL ROLLOUTS 3x 15

βœ…I train abs 3-4 times per week at the end of my workouts. Abs have been a weak area for me so I am focusing more on them the last couple months.
βœ…When training abs I not only focus on keeping my core muscles tight but it’s also important to inhale & exhale throughout the movement! βœ…I personally like ab exercises that enable me to really stretch out the muscles & then squeeze & contract them. Hanging leg or knee raises are my favs!
βœ…There is not a specific ab workout or exercise to do that will make you lose belly fat to see your abs! You cannot spot reduce fat ladies! Body fat levels needs to be lowered all over through diet & training. Look at your diet as number 1 priority.

These are the best tasting blueberries I’ve ever had!! Day 4.... started this morning with a 6am barre class πŸ’ͺ🏼 followed by hot vanilla spiced tea and chocolate proats loaded with blueberries. Salad in a jar for lunchπŸ₯—. Around midday I was ravenous.... in search of something sweet so I had a couple of rice cakes with honey🍯 (I didn’t get a picture). Went for round 2 of a barre workoutπŸ’ͺ🏼πŸ’ͺ🏼 with my two amazing friends (Jenna and Hannah)!! Finished the day relaxing with a hot chocolate! I was really behind on my water intakeπŸ’§but I am feeling a lot less bloated and gassy!!

So yesterday I hit a PB Squat of 190kgs (418lbs). Pretty sore today but stoked that at my age I can still improve my strength and continue to improve beyond what I thought was possible. Today, one of my clients asked me why I continue do lift heavy and push my limits. I was a little taken back at first and I wasn’t sure why anyone would ask that and to be honest, I couldn’t answer that question without some thought. I guess my competitive nature and my desire to try and stay ahead of my ageing body would be the answer. I don’t look forward to the day when I sit back and allow the ageing process take control of me. So I will continue to challenge myself and push my body to limits some find absurd but that’s what I do.
