When your Senior Mace Coach @furryyogii presents a challenge specifically to her #steelmacewomen you accept... you conquer... I will continue to rep this workout until I can successfully perform the entire thing without any β€œSHIT my legs are burning breaks” coupled by a 15lb mace. This was an excellent routine purely focused on the basics. Be mindful of your mechanics and make every rep count. Those battle lunges at the end though had quads on β€œwhat in the Sam Hell” mode πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚. I performed 5 rounds with 2 mins rest between each round. Perform consecutively without putting your Mace down:
10 - 360’s
10 - Ballistic Curls
10 - Forward Switch lunges
10 - Switch Squats
10 - Lateral Switch Lunges
10 - Battle Lunges

***Long, but worth the read*** So I wanted to take a second just to send what I hope to be received as inspiration/motivation for any one who may be discouraged and/or frustrated at this point of their fitness journey. As we approach the holiday of giving thanks, I first wish to give thanks for each and every one of you. 2nd I’d like to give thanks for persistence and dedication. One year ago my journey and love for jumping rope began. I hated jumping as a kid bc I never thought I was any good. As an adult I decided one day to pick up a rope and simply give it a go. I wasn’t very coordinated and didn’t have any real β€œtricks” in my bag but I stayed with it. Day after day I kept coming back, even on days where I didn’t want to. I credit my persistence and dedication for where I am today in my jump rope journey. Persistence and dedication are nothing more than choices, if you choose to dedicate yourself day in and day out, your body will reward you, I promise you that much! So if you’re frustrated or feeling defeated, dust yourself off and try again... and then again.... and then again, AGAIN πŸ˜³πŸ˜‚. Nothing stands between you and your destiny except a choice... a choice to dedicate yourself and to persist through the hard times. I’m sorry this was so long but I sincerely wish each and every one of you a very HAPPY and love-filled Thanksgiving.
