So one of the questions I get asked a lot is how do I manage or juggle working with going to the gym and keeping track with food? When do I meal prep? I know a lot of people like to meal prep on the Sunday for half way through the week and then again mid week. I can't do this for the simple reason, chicken becomes dry as hell and I still like to enjoy my food. What I like to do is cook two meals the night before (basically if I'm making chicken and rice for dinner, I'll cook enough for three portions), I prep two meals to take to work with me. One I eat at lunch time and the other I will have around 4.30pm at my desk, reason being is that the biggest mistake most people make is that they go home first after work, I know for a fact if I do this I would end up killing an hour of my day or even sitting down and not getting back up. A little pre planning and organisation is all you need, pack your gym stuff the night before, throw some overnight oats in the fridge so it's ready for the morning and take easy snacks that won't be too heavy to carry such as bagels. Gym is a few hours in the evening including getting there and coming back, what else would you be doing? Netflix? Another great tip if you're not a breakfast person is to do intermittent fasting, that way you can take only one meal with you, break your fast around 4pm, eat eat eat and then hit the gym after work. That way you'll still have hours after gym to get in your remaining macros and calories because at the end of the day all that matters is hitting those numbers.
