Waiting has taken a seat beside me, settled herself down, and invited herself to stay for awhile.
Join me at @grace_table (LINK IN BIO)where I write on wrestling with how to learn the spiritual discipline, the fine art of waiting. Not just waiting, but waiting well.
Paul writes, in his letter to the Romans (8:24):
That is why waiting does not diminish us, any more than waiting diminishes a pregnant mother. We, of course, don't see what is enlarging us. (MSG)

IS DIETING MAKING YOU FEEL TIRED?

In my experience, when you go into a calorie deficit to lose weight (especially when your first trying to lose weight) you start to feel like crap after the first week, or even the first few days. Many people say its called 'crashing' because most people try and reduce their carb intake to lose weight fastest.
If you've experienced this, I thought Id write a little something for you to try out - some ways that you can boost your energy levels right back up.
1) Increase the amount of dark leafy greens your consuming, because there high in vitamins. You should be having id say at least 2 big handfuls of these every week at the least.
2) Citrus Fruits - Massive energy booster these things, loads of natural sugar and its good fuel for the brain. Believe it or not, these are more satisfying than any chocolate bar will be. Most people don't believe that, because they simply haven't got them regularly in their diet.
3) Dark Chocolate - Although slightly contradictive to point 2 and still contains sugar, you can choose low sugar options, and even places like Lidl and/or Aldi sell 90% dark chocolate. There's plenty of natural fat in there along side vitamins, minerals anti oxidants and fibre. Aye, dark chocolate isn't as bad as you think.
4) Water, Obvious but not for the reasons you'd probably think. While water is brilliant for the body, and can satisfy cravings and keep you full when your trying to lose weight. Your brain literally cant think straight when your dehydrated. Bang in some flavour drops, some sliced lemon or plain old iced water can be massively refreshing. **PRO TIP** Some of these things might sound obvious, but their not utilised by you correctly if your experiencing fatigue, or low energy. Why not test it out, try using these tools for 1 week only, and see how you feel.
