It all makes sense now; I don’t like comparing myself to other people because everyone’s journey is different.. but when people “way older” than you, look weird & slightly creeped out when you tell them your age and what you’re currently doing in life, you know you’re on the way to something good. Keep hustling in silence people, it’ll all be worth it ✊🏽

Just trying to wrap up my Southwest Series! Part of my goal next year will be a 52 week self portrait project! This will help keep me focused on being outdoors every weekend! Keep checking in and keep the encouragement up! I love it! Darn I really needed a haircut by time I realized this trip came up.

6/18/2017: the first hike of summer was an 8 mile out-and-back Sunday day trip into the Bench Lakes in the Sawtooth Wilderness.
We left Boise early, grabbed breakfast in Stanley, then hit the trail. It was idyllic 60 degree weather for a hike into the mountains, and the last remnants of snow surrounded the lakes just before melting for the summer. The mosquitos had not yet emerged for spring in the mountains, but they were out in full force at lower elevations, forcing us to get out of dodge once we got off the trail instead of sightseeing around Stanley like we'd hoped. We stopped for a soak at a hot spring on the way home, and reached Boise in time to get dinner and prepare for the work week.
I'm going to start offering information, including time stamps, about some of our trips in case anybody is interested in how we make time to get outdoors. This should also should give a more realistic view of how often we travel, what the trips and planning actually look like, etc. Let me know what you think!

Wearing spikes on our shoes allowed us to explore a labyrinth of ice cliffs, slopes and watery cravasses of the most intense blue colour. Mendenhall glacier in Alaska is an adventurers playground. @jasonspaffordphotography #glacier #adventurephotography #walkingonice

Another view of the house on fire in southern Utah. The beautiful canyons and ruins of the ancient pueblo people. The size and scale of these buildings and ruin indicate that the natives were not like American sized folks of today...😂 #travel #travelgram #traveling #traveltheworld #travelphotography #utah #instagram #instagood #instatravel #instatraveling #canyonlandsnationalpark #trees #optoutside #explorer #ig_photooftheday #ig_cameras_united #solo #solotravel #moab #southernutah #sunrise #sunrises #sunrise_lovers #sunrise_sunsets_aroundworld #fourcorners #az #arizona #monumentvalley

Staying Coastal today. Heat advisory, soccer practice cancelled. I guess we’ll have to find something else to do🖤🐾 @woodslou22 @wintersugarmagz #rescuepup #winteriscoming

I'm constantly struggling with Instagram's censorship.
I understand people may not want to see what I have to share but then that is up to them to block me or unfollow me. There are a lot of worse things on Insta than people living & dressing naturally.

I have hundreds, if not thousands of images I cannot share here for fear of being banned or being removed. It's a threat I've had many times before, but that's what they are, threats. I can't talk to anyone, I can't have the image reviewed, I can't even filter my own feed to see everyone I want to.

I find that not having a contact to liaise with from Instagram is annoying, anyone can report anything, good, bad or indifferent. Due to this some of my favourite work goes unseen.

Due to these guidelines I have had to change the way I shoot. Sometimes I now even shoot specifically for Instagram.

Youu as a follower are very appreciated, so I want to keep you in the loop of what I've been shooting. This is why I have changed my style a little.
I still shoot what I do and how I do, it but in the back of my mind I have to get some images for you!
It's why images like this of Ukakaumapi exist. The images either side of this frame are stunning to say the least, but if I put them here It would be removed, guaranteed!

So for now, enjoy Ukakaumapi.
Those other images I mention. you will just have to wait until I figure out where this Himba project leads!
