In short, it allows for similar muscle gain to heavy loads with drastically lighter loads due to enhanced metabolic stress & cellular swelling. The muscle pumps are off the charts and it’s easy on the joints and easy to recover from. It’s also great for home and travel workouts when you have minimal equipment. I added an arms BFR finisher to take advantage of the elevated anabolic hormones from any #LegDay. Wrap 7/10 tightness for legs and 5/10 tightness for arms. 3x15 Bent Over Rows: Pull towards your belly button
3x15 Bicep Curls: Keep your elbows pinched to your sides!
3x15 Upright Row: Keep your elbows up!!
3x15 Chest Press: Stagger your feet for balance. Keep your elbows tilted slightly down to protect your shoulders

Last week I could barely do 185x6 bc my right side was bothering me and I just wasn’t feeling it..
Today though 235x8/10 for THREE sets. Did more activation and mobility prior but also felt MUCH better today. Don’t always expect to have good days in the gym. Some days are shitty and some are great, just don’t stop

The worst excuse in the book in regards to not working out: “I don’t have time”, “I’m too busy”. Excuses are honestly trash. They’re words a person uses to justify being lazy (sorry if this is coming off mean, it’s just the truth). “Not having time” is not an excuse. I’m at a tournament for the volleyball team I coach and the gym here has 2 treadmills, a stationary bike, and an elliptical. I could’ve just said screw it and skipped my workouts because of the lack of equipment, but instead I made the most of it. My mom wakes up at 3:30am everyday to get her workout in at home before going to work.
Your excuses are bull. Stop making excuses and just do it. You don’t have to workout for 3 hours. You don’t have to workout to get super buff. Workout for YOU, workout for HEART HEALTH, workout for ENERGY, workout for LONGEVITY, workout simply for HAPPINESS.
HOTEL WORK OUT♀️ I am currently out of town and there isn’t a Gold’s Gym close to me so I made do with my hotel’s gym. It consisted of two treadmills, one elliptical, and a rack of free weights♀️♀️ I was pressed for time so I couldn’t video everything. Started with a 20 min HIIT work out on the TM: sprint x 1 min, power walk x 1 min...increase your sprint time to tolerance. video: dumbbell pass overs (my hips move too much I know, I promise I try not to butttt♀️) video: walk downs into baby push up video: bird dog with 5lbs (super embarrassed bout my form here but it was the last thing I did and I was super fatigued) Even if there’s not much equipment to choose from while traveling you can still get to moving! Google or Pinterest a work out and get it done! __________________________________________

Shown is 2 different circuits, 3x through the 1st, then 3x through the 2nd. 30 seconds of each exercise with little to no rest between (I rested 45 sec between each round). Also added interval sprints before!

If you come up with three or more excuses about why you can't do something or why something is "so hard" ....you're not ready to change or make something a priority. If you're constantly blaming your job, your kids, the weekend, your life, your age, your this, your that, you'll never change. You have to be ready and you have to stop the made up bullshit you keep telling yourself if you ever want to accomplish anything.
YOU are always in control of your life. YOU always have the ability and capability to do or not do something, and YOU always have the power to figure it out...IF you really want to change.
Let me run through the top 2 reasons people give me for why they can't workout or lose weight:
1. I don't have time
Really? Because I think you were on Facebook probably a good 1-2 hours today, then maybe another 1-2 hours of mindless tv/sports where you sat on the couch. Pretty sure if you did an audit of your day, there's a solid 3-4 hours (usually more) that you DO have.
2. The weekends are just too hard, I always blow it.
Newsflash, the weekends are always coming and arn't going anywhere . If you're "Blowing" it every single weekend it's the people and your environment you need to change if you're constantly having a hard time fighting the urges to overeat and drink and smoke or whatever it is you do to "blow it." The weekends are not "routine" I get it, but learn to get some "routine" in your weekends and start focusing on being around others that will help you achieve the goals you want vs. sabotage them.
If you're not ready you're not ready. It's cool, but be willing to admit that to yourself. No matter what excuse you give me or give yourself, you know deep down that's all it is, an excuse.
Don't focus on that, if you want to make changes, look at the excuses you've been making and take an honest look at yourself and how you can make things happen.
Analyze what you're telling yourself and what excuses you have, start thinking about if the excuses are valid. More than likely, they're not...It's ok to not be ready to change, when you're ready, you'll have no excuses to stop you:)
