▼△ i felt my lungs
inflate with the onrush
of scenery- air,
mountains, trees, people.
i thought,
“this is what it is to be happy.”

“Still I bear the flowers of pain, of solitude

And on the mountain's side
Grim-looking gate lies
Staring towards the north
Waiting in solitude”

"To walk for miles with no reason other than to witness the accumulation of trees and meadows, mountains and deserts, streams and rocks, rivers and grasses, sunrises and sunsets. It seemed to me that it had always felt like this to be a human in the wild, and as long as the wild existed it would always feel this way". - Cheryl Strayed 🌲💭 #nepalblues #himalayas #trekking #wilderness #nature #therapy #wild #thoughts #travelgram

Had a great fun walk through the woods today with my brother Eliah after having some good coffee and saw lots of cool things. It was so much better than any "Pokemon Go" experience could ever be, Lol! My first sighting was a Inonotus dryadeus (aka Weeping Conk) a hugeee parasitic fungi at the base of an Oak tree. Most likely 1ft x 10 inches in size. Indicating serious root rot and that the tree may fall over any time soon. 😮Then I saw a wonderful
Acer palmatum "Bi-hoo", a strikingly beautiful deciduous tree with golden color bark and it's palmate leaves were turning golden yellow. My picture doesn't do it justice one bit at all. Just search it online, it's a very cool tree! I saw squirrels eating the Russella emetica mushroom (aka The sickener or vomiting Russella) You can tell with mushroom common names like those, it is not one that you'd really want to eat. It is inedible to humans but not to other critters and bugs apparently. Then I spotted some white fungus at the base of another dying oak, that I haven't identified yet, that was also next to some Reshi mushrooms..? I'll get a spore print just to be sure and learn more. This second dying oak tree isn't as close to falling as the first one that I saw. Then I saw a great colorful display of Pansies, Poppies, Dianthus, and snap dragons 🐉 while taking a walk out of the woods🚶and while also recalling fun memories of my grandpa with my brother Eliah, which made for a good bittersweet day. So blessed by all the love and support from everyone through this time. #wilderness #fungi #justacoupleoffungis #thegreatoutdoors #weepingconk #Inonotusdryadeus #parasiticfungi #oaktreefungi

Another pyramid stone -- This one located in The Creeks area. According to archeologists around here, these pyramid stones were used by the ancients who lived here thousands of years ago, and they have qualities that border on mysticism and prehistoric science and philosophy.
