Last night we took in this tiny little boy. Weighing only 110g’s he is between 3-4 weeks only. He was found outside, stone cold. He most definitely shouldn’t have been out of the nest! He hasn’t yet got all his teeth!
We put him on a heat pad, gave him so fluids and have been syringe feeding him. 🤞🏼 he turns in to a big healthy hog!

The American #Coot is a common marsh #bird here in Saskatchewan during the summer. This guy was found in the city, weak and lethargic, likely lost on his way south. I'm hopeful that he will recover and can continue his migration. #mylifewithwildlife #americancoot #birds #wildliferehab

Pelicans! Part of my job was to feed all of them every day (tossing fish). Some can't fly, so we would make sure they would eat first. 🐢🐡

Intern adventures! Assisted in the release of a juvenile bald eagle which had been in care since early July. This is what everyone in the wildlife rehabilitation field works so hard to accomplish! So grateful for this rare and amazing opportunity! #baldeagle #juvenilebaldeagle #baldeaglerelease #baldeaglerescue #keepnaturewild #intern #internadventures #wildlife #wildliferehabilitation #wildliferehab #moneyshot

This young Red-tailed Hawk bites a towel to show his displeasure at being force-fed. All of his many symptoms are consistent with West Nile Virus, including anorexia and neurological abnormalities. Unfortunately, there is no cure for WNV, but we are offering supportive care in the hopes he can recover. West Nile Virus is spread by mosquitos, not birds, so please be sure to empty any containers near your home that may collect and hold water. If you have a small pond or water feature, simply installing a water wiggler will prevent mosquitos from laying eggs. Just by doing some super-simple things, you're helping minimize the spread of WNV!

•Super excited to have been asked to be a brand ambassador for @medcouture! They were the first brand I ever wore when it comes to scrubs and they have been nothing but amazing! With that being said I got to try out the Activate line and THEY’RE AMAZING!! Super comfy and come in so many awesome colors!!•
**I have people message me a good bit about scrubs and now that I’ve gotten the chance to try one of their new lines I’d love to give you more details about them! #ScrubLove #Wildlife #WildlifeRehab #VetMed

This broad-winged hawk was found sitting in a driveway, unable to fly. He was brought to TWC where medical staff determined he was suffering from a head and wing injury due to collision with a window. He was given pain medication and his right shoulder was wrapped to help with stiffness and drooping. Although recovering well, his behaviour is friendlier than normal (head trauma can mimic tameness). Wildlife need to be psychologically as well as physically healthy before they're released, so TWC staff will keep a close eye on him while in care. #broadwingedhawk #wildlifecare #wildliferehab
