We're here another night. They are no longer thinking it's just based on what he does or does not eat. His iron was low, but he also has a very low protein count in his blood which is why the edema in eyes and body is present. He is getting an IV of aluminum (protein) and a diuretic after to reduce the swelling finally anf hopefully get some comfort. They'll be running tests to see why his body wouldn't be absorbing the protein he consumes as he is not losing it and shows no sign s of liver or kidney issues.
We are still here. But Zoya is doing better, we are staying until tomorrow to keep her super hydrated and to get hooked up with some new medical equipment for our home (yay lol)! With these small nasal passages we need to be able to suction out her nose at a more powerful level. I'm super stoked to be getting this, ha. How life has changed. Even though I hate being here, I'm so glad we are because she needed it so bad and Friday night was super scary with her. #zoyathewarrior #staystrongbabygirl #smallnasalpassages #pfeiffersyndrome #medicallycomplex
I've been mostly fasted at the hospital because finding keto foods has been tough. Cedar shared his breakfast scramble and I had some protein bars tucked in my #hiebag then I found this gem in the vending machine. Thankful being strict keto this week has mostly taken my appetite away. #ketoon #ketoaf #ketoevenatthehospital
