Photo from my Tulum, Mexico trip to use as my concept for a negative space (20hr+) charcoal drawing | I am taking inspiration by @oubash to use tons of smooth value --- This piece is the complete opposite of how I like to draw, I am messy and love lines. Look for the final piece in 3 weeks #personalchallenge #watersign
Wow. Pure bliss. Visiting the Labnaha Centoes was one of the best experiences of my life. I came early and was THE ONLY PERSON for two hours (besides my guide) He took me on a private snorkel tour of the entire underwater caves. It was so quiet, only the sounds of the water splashing as we swam below thousands of dripping stalactites. It was so dark but we had underwater flashlights so we could see the little fishes and the depth of the caves below us. For a few minutes we turned off our flashlights and I was suspended in complete darkness. It felt like I was floating in outer space. The crystal blue water is completely saturated in minerals from the rock formations, it was like the best natural spa day of my life. At times I felt a little scared but I also felt the presence of something greater and miraculous all around me. This is a day I will always remember.
14,628 is the avg. number of cigarettes that I didn't smoke since June 4, 2015 🚭 Today marks TWO YEARS of not smoking! I was a smoker for 10 years, from age 16-26. I smoked a pack a day up until the last couple of years as closet smoker between yoga classes. I truly believed there was no hope for me and that I was going to be a smoker for the rest of my life. I even accepted the fact that I was going to die sooner then everyone else. I used to smoke at my private highschool where it was allowed and my Dad used to buy me cigarettes and we would smoke together (and with my grandmother when she visited) Smoking was in my blood. But here I am, two years have gone by and I am still shook that I actually gave it up! I did it! Yay 🎉 ** also shout out to Homer bc it's almost his 1 year birthday 😄
