Disney on ice and dinner for my soon-to-be 4 year old as an early birthday gift It was incredible! Talented skaters, amazing props, great seats...we had a blast!! #disneyonice #fun #saturdaynight #mtscentre #winnipeg #frozen #annaandelsa #olaf #sven #avalynnmarie #birthdaygift #4yearsold #makingmemories
When you don't start until 3pm, your pup is a bundle of energy and it's not the kind of cold that will freeze your nostrils shut...5km walk! I made myself into a winter burrito for that hike. Any day now summer. #canada #countryliving #walk #transcanadatrail #toasty #bundled #parka #scarfweather #commonsummer #blueeyes
This goofball just slept through the entire night with no pullups and not a single accident so proud of her. M&m pancake breakfast for my growing girl! Side note: is that not the cutest homemade frozen quilt you've ever seen?? She's got one talented grandma

Right from the start my parents told us kids that Santa was made up. We didn't have a lot of money growing up so it was easier for my parents to explain to us that santa wasn't actually real rather than explain why santa brought extravagant gifts for our friends but something small for us. I love my parents for their efforts to protect us from disappointment and the way I was raised taught me to be thankful for everything I have but I'm also thankful that we are able to do a lot of things for Ava that I never had as a child. It brings me so much happiness to play along with the Santa fantasy we wrote a letter to Santa together, we made chocolate chip cookies for him and, at Ava's request, left carrot sticks out for the reindeer. Let "Santa" bring your child a gift, but when you do keep in mind the parents who can't purchase a tablet or a bike to place under the tree from "santa" and consider how some of the less fortunate children feel when they return to school and share about what Santa brought for them. Any gift, large or small, can and will still be very special to them because Santa brought it for them, and it won't leave another child wondering why they recieved something so much less. Just some food for thought. Merry christmas everyone! God Bless!
Hour long hike with my bundled up kiddo today! I love being a momma. when you focus on what you have to be thankful for and work hard to enjoy the good things in life, it's a lot easier to tune out all of the negativity.
