Richard Caldicott's Solo Exhibition starts today at Atlas Gallery.
Richard has been using a combination of media for his contemporary artworks, and at Bayeux we have been helping to produce the c-types for this exhibition.
Through these images, you can see Caldicott's exploration of both strong and subtle colours against the forms and geometry of everyday items.

Scans by John McIlfatrick and Fuji Crystal Archive C-Type Prints by Nick Barnett at Bayeux Ltd.
Does anyone recognise these two?
Today would have been Storm's birthday, and we remember him fondly.
It was lovely to see this image of him and Po (Aubrey Powell) shot in the early days of Hipgnosis by David Gilmour.
Po came to Bayeux today to check his large format Pigment Prints. They look wonderful on Hahnemühle Ultra Smooth Rag.
Also there are a few images from the recently Their Mortal Remains Exhibition at the V & A, which is currently showing in Rome.
Tomorrow sees the launch of this year's 24 photography exhibition in Soho Square, London W1.

Please drop into the lab to see some of Danny North's stunning images from Eigg. "As I Found Her: A Portrait of Eigg"
At its core, As I Found Her: A Portrait of Eigg is a project about the Hebridean isle, its people, and their way of life. I wanted to paint a picture of Eigg’s tight-knit community and the sense of belonging that radiates from this. It’s a story told through environmental portraits shot both inside islanders’ homes and in the sweeping, expansive landscape. But there is also, in the background, a much broader narrative about what it might mean to live on an island – any island – away from the mainland, and to be at the mercy of nature and perhaps even the community itself. The project is also hugely personal in that it’s about my own desire to belong somewhere, and the joy I felt when I discovered Eigg.
As the island opened up to me, I opened up to it, and I found myself peeling back the layers of this extraordinary place. I visited Eigg 4 times from summer 2016 to finally returning in June of 2017 to exhibit the project in the village hall on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the community’s island buyout.
With the exception of the exhibition on Eigg last year, and two of the images that are in the National Portrait Gallery as part of the Taylor Wessing Portrait Prize, the project has remained largely unseen. The exhibition in Bayeux will be the most work from the project shown to date.
Eigg may never be somewhere I call home, but it will always be dear to me. It has left an indelible mark. Consequently, As I Found Her: A Portrait of Eigg is a celebration of what Eigg means to me, but I also hope it offers an honest, sincere, and intimate glimpse of what the island means to the people who call Eigg home.

John Cohen presents Mark Cornick his award from FujiFilm.
This year's Fujifilm Print Prize in Landscape Photographer Of The Year Awards was won by Mark Cornick for his photograph of a London building. Mark's prize was a chance to spend time with an expert printer at top London lab, Bayeux, seeing four of his images printed on Fujifilm paper. Work commitments stopped Mark from getting to the lab in person but Nick at Bayeux produced the prints for Mark, using Fujicolor Digital Paper (Matte).
Visit the Exhibition at Waterloo Station up on the Balcony until 4th February 2018. Free entry.

At Bayeux Ltd, we process your film on site in our ‘dip and dunk’ machines that make no mechanical contact with the exposed emulsion, thereby ensuring safe, clean processing.
If you wish to have your film adjusted for ISO changes there’s no extra charge.
Additional contact prints enable you to view the whole film on one page so that you can mark up your choices for hand printing or scanning - the way favoured by fashion and editorial photographers. This is usually a 24hr service.
We can also provide machine prints that are produced on our Noritsu mini-lab. These economical, high-quality prints are made by scanning the film and come on either matt or gloss paper, with or without a small white border. If you require scans only, they will be written to disc or or other media and uploaded on request. Image files are approximately 16Mb at 72 DPI. This is usually a 24hr service.
Film processing takes 2-3 hrs for all film types.
E6, C-41 and B&W negative film is processed throughout the day up until around 4pm for same day collection.
There is a generous 30% discount available for students with a valid student ID.
