We love this shot of Catherine-Marie Longtin’s studio at Vanguard Court in Camberwell.

Catherine-Marie makes minimalist abstract quilts. She draws her inspiration from traditional quilting whilst making visual reference to the aesthetics of minimalism and abstract expressionism. She designs her pieces directly on her studio wall and, through a back and forth process, between concept and construction, her quilts take shape.
You can visit the studio on the 2nd and 3rd December as part of our winter open studios.

John Mahoney-Phillips Studio Ceramics create a connection to something beyond the hustle of modern urban life, with the functional nature of the pots inviting you to touch them and connect with the materials of the earth.
The ceramics are high fired by John using found clays and ash glazes sourced from the UK; mainly Pembrokeshire, South-West Wales. John’s most recent work explores the technique of soda firing, creating surfaces directly out of the clay.

You can meet John and see more of his ceramics at Vanguard Court in Camberwell on the 2nd and 3rd December as part of our winter open studios.
