A sick shot from @chank_photography from Stella. I'm in there trying to get a few shots with out get detonated which eventually didn't work out.

@whereisrandal setting up on a bomb last month. Seems like summer flatness and knee high swells have set in early and winter is a distant memory. At least it went out with a bang.

This winter wasn't packed with the biggest swells but there were some days with some great lighting.

A fun day of waves back in January.

Golden 10-15 minutes up North from Stella.

A golden morning back in January.

Woke up early last week to catch the Milky Way rise in Island Beach. I got there and the sky was completely overcast. I was about to head home but I decided to try one more spot. When I got there the wind picked up and the clouds cleared.

Back in January when we got summer water color with winter waves.

Where did all the south swells go?

The wall. Looks like something more suited for skateboarding than surfing.

@mvgleason reaping the rewards of a Stella strike mission.

I like to picture this wave talking like Funk Master Flex and as soon as the lip hits there's the explosion sound effect along with a bunch of air horns going off.

The @nysea_surf @clifbar cold shot challenge is now extended into April. Hopefully another one of those solid April swells like the past few years. πŸŽ₯ @etanblatt_digital_media

I'll get back to the insane amount of Stella photos in another day or two. For now here's golden hour on a south swell back in December.

New Jersey wasn't the only place that scored from Stella. Probably a lot bigger than it looks being that the closest buoy was 20ft at 14 seconds .

17πŸ—¨

Makeable? That question came up a few times Tuesday morning.

12πŸ—¨

Thanks @jayrut_photo for the screen grab and being the first one out in the water and motivating me to swim. That lip landed right on top of me and blew my fins off. It put me in the perfect position to go over the falls on the next wave and get washed back to the beach. Sometimes you gotta pay to play.

@joeypinheiro going for glory at another spot that went nuclear during winter storm Stella on Tuesday.

@robkellysurf killed it on Tuesday. Here's one of many barrels he got from @surfline s recent feature on Winter Storm Stella.

8πŸ—¨

Linked up with @bengravyy on this one the other day. As seen on @easternsurfmag s feature on winter storm Stella.

Unknown today. Definitely best swell of the winter so far.

Probably the most over exposed place to shoot the Milky Way in Island Beach, but I had already got the other shots I wanted this night so I decided to give it a go.

6πŸ—¨

Two waves or one wave with two barrels?
