Still probably my favorite day from the past two months. It was pretty overcast when I got to the beach so I got an hour surf session in. When it looked like the clouds were starting to break I grabbed my camera and swam out. This was right when I got in the water and the first glimpses of sun for the day.
Seems like this winter there's been a lot more days where the sun decides to come out for Golden hour. An example from two weeks ago.
Last couple New Jersey Waves Calendars available at @rightcoastsurfshop only $15.
Shot my 50mm on manual focus for 4 hours last week. Some how this one ended up alright, guess I'm lucky the ring slid to infinity.
South side looking nostalgic on Sunday. As seen on the Winter Storm Helena gallery on @easternsurfmag
Was pretty stoked on the sunrise this morning. I think I was more stoked that my lens wasn't fogging up and I actually got to shoot it unlike yesterday.
Tuesday's sunset from the water as seen on @easternsurfmag s last swell story of 2016
A couple fun ones this afternoon, was stoked it lasted long enough to get a session in before I shot.
As we start winter today here's one last look back at Fall. @robkellysurf getting super shacked from Hurricane Matthew back in October.
Go for glory and pack the closeout or try to exit it through the doggy door? Pretty sure @sseeland packed the closeout.
Pretty flat last night but the sky had some cool color. Hands went numb pretty quickly even with gloves on that wind will get ya.
I've been thoroughly enjoying the waves that have come along with the cold weather, but let's not forget that sometimes this happens in the Summer. Seaside Park, June 2015.
Looking out of a barrel at @bengravyy getting barreled.
Standing in the middle of the road in Island Beach State Park last night when the clouds almost cleared.
