Matthew 5:44 -- Jesus commanded us to Love(agape) our enemies, when He goes into how to demonstrate that Love, Many translations say "just pray for your enemies" but Loving with the Love of God is much more than just praying for people who do wrong against you. In the King James, it goes deeper, Jesus says not just to pray for them but to "Bless them. Do good to them AND pray for them." That's the Love of God in true demonstration. #notallofthesetranslationsarethesame
For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more. Hebrews 8:12
Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye. Colossians 3:13
For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: but if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. Matthew 6:14-15
Calling All Prophetic Warriors
You have probably noticed the spiritual warfare has increased—and is increasing in the last days. It doesn’t take a prophet to discern the raging culture wars, the bold rise of principalities like Jezebel, or the spirit of the world that has settled in to a front row seat on far too many churches.
Whether we like it or not, we are in a war. Indeed, passive Christianity is no longer an option for those who want to live victorious lives, especially in this world where antichrist agendas are pushing all things of Jesus out of the public square and sexual immorality is celebrated rather than mourned. We have moved from peacetime Christianity to wartime Christianity. Of course, we are not wrestling against flesh and blood but against principalities, powers, rulers of the darkness of this world, and spiritual forces of evil.
Although the enemy is unseen, it is very real. Whether you are new to spiritual warfare or you’re an expert warrior, the days in which we live demand full engagement in the battle. We do not have the luxury of retreating and hoping the darkness will not overtake us.
There is no cease-fire in the spirit. The devil will not back off and call a truce if we lay our weapons down and take off our armor. Quite the opposite; if we give up the fight, we essentially surrender to the evil forces that are warring against our minds, our bodies, our families, our finances, and the fullness of our destinies. But we are not going to do that!
#thought When carnal christians hear a certain celeb or athlete is a "Christian" they then buy all their Merch and lift these athletes and celebs up like they're God. Just because they're "Christian" and they happen to play a professional sport, doesn't mean God is ok with you lifting them up above Him. God says ALL idolaters shall have their part in the Lake of Fire. Revelation 21:8
We're always trying to come up with fresh ideas, new methods, new ways to draw people in to hear the Gospel. One thing to note is that the Bible never once says or indicates that the believer is to draw people in. Jesus said clearly, if He is lifted up, HE WILL DRAW ALL MEN to Himself. Jesus doesn't need nor does He command us to come up with different ways to draw people in. He gave us a command in Mark 16, not to entertain, but to PREACH. He said PREACH THE GOSPEL. In Acts 8, the Bible says that Philip went down to Samaria. Why? For what purpose did Philip go to Samaria? To entertain? No. The Bible says, to PREACH CHRIST unto them; and it goes on to say that the people GAVE HEED to those things that Philip spake. What drew them? What caused them to give heed? Did he put on a play? A puppet show? Did he and the rest of the disciples get together and put on a rock show? No. The Bible says that they gave heed, HEARING AND SEEING THE MIRACLES IN WHICH HE DID. When you have the supernatural present, when the Holy Ghost is there, you don't need to have any gimmicks. You don't need entertainment. When the Gospel is preached, God shows up. And when God shows up, the people come! Miracles happen! He confirms His Word (mark16:20) The blind see, the deaf hear, the lame walk, demons flee! And joy manifests! The problem today is that we've told God we can do it better! We've told God, through our carnal methods, through our good ideas that we're smarter and more powerful than Him. Oh how FOOLISH we've become! If you're a preacher, if you're a leader, your job is one thing - to preach the Gospel. I challenge you, stop worrying about numbers. Stop worrying about money. Start worrying about souls!Lay down all of your carnal methods. Lay down your "good" ideas. lay down everything you think you know. throw it all in the trash where it belongs. PREACH THE WORD in its fullness and watch God move!
RepostBy @rashellkay: "Many put the label of self righteous upon the Christian, though the true definition of self righteousness is: "I did it my way." My life, my rules, self accomplished, self blessed, self motivated, selfie, yes me, self driven, myself and I. That beloved, is self righteousness, a righteousness based upon (self) (man) and not upon God. If you have no need for God, perhaps, you are self righteous. (Isaiah 59:16) "He saw that there was no one, he was appalled that there was no one to intervene; so his own arm achieved salvation for him, and his own righteousness sustained him."
Newborn babes/immature believers, they eat up anything and everything. All it takes is a little bit of poison on a good piece of meat to kill you. Don't read everything under the title Christian, don't pick up and read every book. Read THE Book. Desire the sincere milk of the Word that you may grow thereby. Grow in prayer. Learn how to be lead by the Spirit, STUDY to show thyself approved, that way you'll be able to discern properly and know immediately what is true and what is false.
