In honor of Halloween, we'll be posting wonderful photos of our Good Dog puppers in costumes for the rest of October! Don't be scared - here's a ghostly Nelson!
If you're interesting in having your Good Dog featured, please email your photo to firstname.lastname@example.org.
We’re wishing 15 year old Rosie (and her dad Richard) a happy retirement! .
Richard says “Rosie feels it's the right time to hang up her paws and start enjoying giving commands instead of obeying commands. Rosie and I have spent 10 wonderful years together as a therapy team and during that time have made many good adult, child and canine friends. She's helped countless children get comfortable reading out loud as well as helped countless others overcome their fear of dogs. We will especially miss Eileen and our friends at the Scarsdale Public Library.”
Thanks for your service, Richard and Rosie!
Happy retirement, Mookie! Mookie and his mom Susan have been visiting the VA for 4 years, where veterans looked forward to seeing him and feeding him dog cookies. Susan says, "Some patients interacted with Mookie who were not interacting with anybody or anything else. Mookie loves everyone. The world is his friend. I think we made a bunch of people happy and created a few moments of joy. It was a great and fun thing to do."
We thank you for your years of service.
From our great upstate trainer Hanna - "These dedicated owners and their pups have been with us for a total of 11 weeks - through Therapy 1 and tonight graduating from Therapy 2 class. They are now certified therapy dog teams through The Good Dog Foundation and will soon be making official visits to partner facilities in our area. So proud of team Thandi, team Magpie, and team Sancho!"
A huge thank you to The Innovative CPA Group, LLC and Kristen Gilfeather! To celebrate their grand opening, the organization held a random drawing in which the winner could choose a charity of his/her choice to receive $500. Kristen was chosen and was kind enough to select Good Dog as her charity! We continue to be blown away by the generosity of our community and extend our deepest appreciation to both The Innovative CPA Group and Kristen for thinking of us.
