That’s a wrap! After ‘s and ‘s of amazing talent to , 2 weeks of missing my family, 6 room changes, multiple sets, some long days, jokes, laughs and great experiences the 2018 Winter TCAs Portrait studio for @tvguidemagazine x @gettyentertainment is officially done! A big thanks as always to @chucknora (best in the biz) x @michelestueven x @rachelkoll (for your mastery) @josh_fogel x @adammatijasevic x #kenwert x @thecoffey x @jimhalterman x @pattiwilson1 for all that you did and do! This was one of my favorite studios we’ve done! I’m so proud of what we created and so very thankful for another successful round! #tca2018 additionally, an extra big thank you to @langhampasadena for hosting and always being wonderful!! Here’s a little art project I did this last week, adding in little touches to your beautiful paintings around the hotel!
As the TCAs winds down and we’re in our final day here, a popular question seems to be “who was your favorite person to shoot?” Well, Let me introduce you to Peggy Annette Whitson. As a new father to an amazing little girl, I think about role models I want to introduce her to, inspiring women she should know about. Peggy will be among them. A record breaking, NASA astronaut, scientist, educator and an incredibly nice person. She holds the record for the longest time in space than any other American (but also any woman of any nation) , the most space walks by a woman, First female commander of the ISS (which she did twice) and many, many more notable achievements. She’s part of an incredibly select group of amazing people who have left this planet, reached space and been able to look back at the world without borders, see it as a whole, and help move the human race move forward with our understanding of our place in the universe... achieved, I’m sure, through her dedication, hard work, her intelligence. I was honored to meet her (twice) and other inspiring astronauts this time around. She is a true out-of-this-world role model. #aboveandbeyond on @discoverychannel #onestrangerock on @natgeo @astropeggy
Highlight from yesterday... not only to get the opportunity to shoot a legend like James Cameron for his new doc “The History of Science Fiction” but for him to look over at the image and say “I really love that, love how you’ve kept warmth in the skin tone but the green in the background, you know I’ve always said that cyan is an under utilized color” he walks away... then comes back... “yeah I really love it”. ... makes my day! #jamescameron
