We ran out of sunlight and jogged 3.5 miles to this insane spot just before it went dark. 4,000 feet, no people, complete silence and relaxation as we looked into the deep valleys and ridges. The sun casted a purple/pink color off the Na Pali coast waters, just amazing. I wish we had a bit more sunlight because this photo came out a little grainy, but the authentic experience is what matters, not the capture. The hike back in pitch darkness with iPhone flashlights was definitely worth it. Start living, not just existing!!!
NOW // I think one of the most important things in life is to be fully present in the now - to be aware of this very moment and to enjoy each fleeting moment as they pass. I always catch myself daydreaming about the future or overthinking about the past. Setting goals and working towards your future is a great thing, but taking the time each day to appreciate life right now is what really matters. The past and the future don't exist anywhere but in your mind. The only thing that's real is the present moment. Don't cry over the past - it's gone. Don't stress about the future - it hasn't arrived yet. Live in the present and make it beautiful. I'm convinced that this guy surfing into the sunset is 100% focused on that very moment, enjoying himself to the fullest, doing what he loves. Do more things that keep you stoked, that keep you in the moment, that keep you ALIVE. Don't wait for change, be mindful of today. Happiness is now. If you read this far, go do something awesome today!
These past three months have been such an amazing experience, wouldn't trade it for the world. To everyone I met on the island, thanks for everything, I'll miss our crazy adventures. Headed back to Olympia for awhile then finishing my last year at CWU. Sad my football career is over,
but it's time to focus on bigger dreams. Hawaii, you have my heart, I'll see you soon
