A young woman who is on the pursuit to her destiny.. Join me! 😊
Love this pic of my dad praying. It always reminds me that God can do nothing until man communicates with Him. Tonight as you prepare to sleep or when you wake up, spend some time in communication with God. A man/woman of prayer is a man/woman of power. All things become possible when you open your mouth and decree and declare Gods word back to Him. His word says that He watches over His word to perform. Speak His word back to Him in prayer and watch Him move in your life! Goodnight 😘

As a believer, there are times where we fall into various temptations and we may slip and ask God for His grace and forgiveness.
#1. We can ONLY receive grace from God. So what is grace? In regular English definition, grace is the unmerited favor of God manifested in the salvation of sinners. The Greek word for grace is "Charis" and it's meaning is also favor/an act of kindness from a superior to an inferior. Divine peace also comes from God. As it is written in scripture: "may the peace of God that surpasses all understanding." -Philippians 4:7. This means that the peace that you attain from God, no human being is capable of understanding it. It is indescribable but once you receive that form of peace, stress will never locate you again! As Paul was praying that we would receive that grace and peace from God may we receive and walk in it in the mighty name of Jesus!

As I was reading this passage, I asked myself, "what does it mean to be a bondservant of Christ?" Main reason why I asked was because; I realized that in a lot (if not all) of the books written by the Apostle Paul, always start off by saying that he was a bondservant of Christ. Now, when I did my research, I looked up the Greek meaning of the word bondservant & came up with the word, "doulos" which in translation means: "one who is subservient to or one who is entirely at the disposal of his master." Also, they are known as people who voluntarily gave themselves up as slaves to serve others for free (not expecting any wages). When I learned of this, it made me come to the realization of why the apostle Paul was so successful in ministry.
#1. He found out what the will of God for his life was.
#2. He didn't go and boast and brag and go spread the news to everyone but instead he humbly studied & learned more about God, His word, and who He was for 14 years before going under the mentorship of some of the disciples.
#3. But most important of all, he became a bondservant of Christ. He gave up his will entirely and became entirely at the disposal of God's use. God was able to use Paul to do mighty things, why? Because he became a complete slave to God and to His works. His main priority was now to overflow the kingdom of God and expand heaven. It was no more about him but it was all about Jesus.
Have we become bondservants of Christ yet? Have we completely surrendered our will and took up the cross & followed Christ? Questions...
One of my favorite scriptures ever!!! I love it because it brings such a reassurance of Gods great promise to us. Knowing that He who had begun this great work in us will surely bring it to completion. Don't give up, don't lose hope because He who has begun this great work in you will surely complete it!!
How do you make your requests to God? Do you do it in sadness, in murmuring? In complaining? Paul made his requests known to God in joy and that is probably why he was so successful. The bible says in the presence of the Lord there is fullness of joy! When you begin to pray, you automatically enter into His presence and that brings joy. So if you are praying and you are constantly murmuring you gotta change the atmosphere and begin to thank God and enter into the realms of joy!
The only way we can get divine peace from; God our Father. You know, you may be going through some challenges today, trust me, you're not the only one. You may be feeling overwhelmed maybe because of school, work, family matters or etc. God is a God of peace. He is Jehovah Shalom. When you choose to give the complexities of life to Him, He will in turn bestow upon you grace and peace to go on with your life as He works everything out for you. Here Paul was just hitting us, we can find grace for our sins and peace from God our Father. What an amazing feeling!
This scripture has taught me a lot in a sense of who I really am in the body of Christ. As I read this scripture, I thought to myself; "what does it mean to be a bondservant?" It must be different from a mere regular servant .. And so I did my research. A bondservant is someone who serves without the expectation of receiving any wages. Someone who merely serves out of their heart and not for eye service. Can we be like that as believers? Serve God out of our whole heart, not for what He can give us or what we can gain, but just to expand the kingdom of God wholeheartedly.
A prayerful man is a powerful man. Today I encourage myself & you, to spend some time communicating with God. A good relationship is built on communication. If you claim to be in a relationship with God, spend some time talking with Him and listening to Him. It will empower you to go on with your day, trust me!
