This scripture hits very close to home for me. Why? Because I have been praying for more patience because it is a virtue that I lack. I unfortunately easily get angered or annoyed, especially if I'm hungry or tired lol. People may say yeah it's normal for human beings but in all honesty, I don't want that virtue to be apart of me, especially as a daughter of God. I long for more patience and in this specific verse, it tells us that the testing of your faith produces patience which goes along with the trials and the tribulations we will go through but we must be joyful. All in all, we must have faith and believe and hope and through that, more patience will be our portion.
Wow. As I read this scripture, I really thought to myself, "how in the world can a human being get happy when they are going through trials and tests and difficult situations" James is encouraging us to be joyful when we go through problems, because there's a reason behind it. As hard as it may seem, it is the only way we can get through them without breaking down and giving up. We must find joy in these tough situations. Keep believing that the God we serve will never leave us nor forsake us and He would never give us anything that is too hard for us to bare. Be joyful!!
Good afternoon everyone! I pray that you are all having a great day so far. I am by the grace of God.
I just want to encourage you all to remain positive despite the circumstances you may be facing. Know that when you put God in the midst, everything will turn out to be ok and work in your favor. Trust Him. He is able to do exceedingly and abundantly, all that you can ask or imagine, according to the power that is in you!! That's your faith. So believe and trust, God will surely work things out for you. Be blessed.
James was known to be a bondservant of the Lord and of Jesus Christ. What is a bondservant? Google defines it as someone who serves without receiving any wages. In another words, someone who serves for the kingdom merely to just see the kingdom of God expand not to use it as a tool to make money. There's some people in this life that will never do anything without getting anything in return. Their heart is not in the works. Today as kingdom citizens, I want to challenge/encourage everyone to become bondservants of Christ. Those who serve in various churches, don't do it just because you want to receive a reward from the pastor, but do it so that God would be your rewarder.
James 1:6-8 -
We cannot be double minded when it comes to asking things from God. Example: God I need a car. Then in your mind you think to yourself that it's too much for God to do so suddenly. Of course you won't get it! Why? Because you are not serious about it your prayer and you doubt the abilities of God. Isn't the God that you serve the same God who created this whole world by just His words? He spoke let there be light and light came forth in an instant. So why doubt? When you pray, believe that you will receive it and you will have it. Have the God kind of faith!!
How I read this specific scripture is that, "In the beginning, God." In the beginning was God. God comes first. And as I read this scripture, it came to my mind that God has to be first in everything in order for it to be successful. He was there in the beginning of the creation of the Earth and look at the turn out. If you put God in the beginning of your business, in the beginning of your ministry, in the beginning of your marriage, in the beginning of your education and etc. and in the center of it all, it has no other choice but to be successful. God is in it! He's not a failing God, He never fails. He always conquers, He always has the victory. ---
So this morning as you go about your day, I want to encourage you to put God first in everything you do, and watch the turn out!
Verse of the day: 2 Corinthians 4:6
This scripture is dear to me because at times, my flesh becomes weak and I feel like giving up especially as I'm in fasting. But one thing I always put in my mind is that, it's not worth it giving up to the flesh. You gotta kill the flesh in order for the spirit man to conquer. Our spirit man is being renewed daily as we feed it spiritual things. And at the end of it all, it will be worth it.
Good morning everyone!! I pray that everyone is having a good day so far and will have a great day. Mine is getting started early as I am in fasting and prayers so I am about to get into some prayer.
I want to just remind everyone, don't forget to commit the day I to Gods hands and watch your day be blessed!
