Earlier in the week I made a post about eating eggs for breakfast. For the ladies who didn't read it, I was just saying that you don't NEED to have eggs for breakfast to get your protein in. A lot of women think that eggs are the only good source of breakfast protein! There are lots and lots of foods that contain protein that you can have! Creating a beautiful bowl like this for breakfast is ALSO amazing. There is no "right/correct" breakfast that you MUST have, it just needs to be a healthy balance of whole foods and keep you full until your next meal (you shouldn't be hungry straight after). CLEANNNNN GYM!!! I do love @tobi_pearce ...but I must admit that the ONE positive of having him in a moon boot and wrist cast for the last 8 weeks (snow boarding injury) is that there are NO protein shakes or 60kg dumbbells laying all over the floor of the gym. Who feels vulnerable when asking for help?? Now think about this. If someone asks you for help, do you consider them vulnerable and weak??? Not at all! When a child asks for help, are they weak? Not at all. Why as adults do we find it SO HARD to reach out. When in life did it become inappropriate to ask for help!?. Asking for help means you WANT to learn, to improve, to get better ... asking for help is NOT a sign of weakness - don’t ever think that. www.kaylaitsines.com/app

For the #bbgnewbies reading this, I can tell you there were no perfect weeks...a lot of weeks I struggled for motivation, I was tired, sometimes lazy, sometimes it felt like a chore (especially in the beginning) but I stuck with it and kept pushing forward each week. Even if I only got 1 bbg workout in a week, I still moved on to the next week. Changes don’t happen overnight, but if you stay consistent, they will happen. You WILL get STRONGER. You WILL FEEL BETTER. .
Take your progress pictures...there is no better feeling then when you think you’ve made zero progress and then finally one week you compare the side by side and are pleasantly surprised to see all the hard work is paying off. The other day my friend said to me "I hate eating breakfast" I asked why and she said "because I hate eggs!!". I said "You don't NEED to eat eggs!!" and she said "...but what else is there" hahaha. Firstly, I have not had eggs for breakfast for a while now and I still LOVE breakfast. I have said this like 500 times but I have rye toast, tomato, olives and anchovies on toast. You do NOT NEEEED to have eggs for breakfast!! Find something that you love eating, that is heathy, nutritious and will keep you full and STICK TO THAT!! Eating something is better than eating nothing!

I never would have thought in a million years that I would feel more confident in a swimsuit being a mom of two than I did in high school and college. It has been so empowering to set a goal, put HARD work, patience and consistency into it and see the rewards both mentally and physically. Being a mama is incredible, but so hard at the same time. Waking up each morning and pushing myself gave me something to kick start my day, connect with my other mama friends and has become my therapy session. Yesterday @katherineheigl shared her transformation photo after she discovered BBG through one of my posts (she looks incredible). It’s a real program that provides real results and I love connecting with other women who try it and end up loving it as much as I do. Okay so before I start, this one is MUCH prettier than the ones I use to have when I was a kid BUT it doesn't make the idea any less cool! I was wondering where my love of healthy food came from the other day and I realised it was my mum!! I never ever EVER had 'dessert' after my meals as a kid. We had fruit or cut up fresh vegetables and that was it!! Cake and ice-cream were for birthdays or if someone (not in our family) came over. When we used to go to the beach, I remember mum taking a container like this with cut up fruit and veggies and we loved it!! www.kaylaitsines.com/app @channyapple_

Next month is my IG fitness account anniversary! I started this account last March after I completed my first 12 weeks of BBG. Up until that time, I quietly followed several accounts using my personal IG account.
From the very beginning, I started taking progress pictures but I never intended to share them. They were for my only! I didn’t even want them on my phone’s camera roll so I moved them into my iPhone’s notes and password-protected them! .
Slowly, as I started seeing progress and gaining confidence, I felt comfortable enough to share. I know how others’ progress pics inspire & motivate me so if my pics can help someone else make healthier choices, it’s so worth it! .
If you’re starting out, I highly recommend taking progress pictures. They will show you a much better picture of your overall progress than the scale! If you’re self-conscious like me, tuck them away for now. One day soon you will be so proud! " www.kaylaitsines.com/app
Rehab time!! I've been working on stretching out my lats and releasing some tight spots on my back!! If you are tight and sore(the wrong type of sore), you need to massage, foam roll or cup those areas to release the tension. If you continue to train with tension *(in the wrong places) this can lead to serious pain/injuries in the near future!! It's easier to prevent the injury than to rehab out of it!
ABS!! So I’ve been trying to add these into my workouts after I have finished an entire circuit. So I will do my FOUR exercises in circuit ONE... PLUS... 20reps of hanging leg raises! I tried my best to record some of these for you. As most of you may already know, I freak out a little bit if things aren’t perfect.... so you can imagine my face when i realised my camera had moved slightly sideways and I filmed my workout with the camera NOT STRAIGHT!! hahhaa so if it sort of looks like the room is tilted.... that was my bad!! www.kaylaitsines.com/app
