Tonight’s new moon Libra is all about relationships, commitment, and balance. Represented as the “keeper of the scales”, new moon Libra may force you to find balance in areas of your life that have been taking up too much of your time or energy. Now is a good time to reflect on the past couple weeks and ask yourself if you are happy with where you are investing your time and energy. If you feel out of balance, you may find Libra’s energy to be rather abrasive, as it may force you into making hard decisions or finally finish that project you have been procrastinating on. Pay attention to how you feel this week. Are you anxious? Feeling chaotic or that there’s not enough time in the day to tackle your to-do list? NEW MOON GOALS as inspired by @thebalancedblonde
Stay consistent with my meditation practice. Girl, I know you are busy but you totally have 3 minutes. No excuses. Eat more plant based meals. Bc greens. Be present in each moment. Continue with my gratitude journal. Practice asana 3x/week. The new moon is a great time to slow down and reflect on where you are now in your life. Are you happy with the path you are on? How are you spending your time? Does it bring you joy? Tune into yourself this week, set intentions and create new routines. Take advantage of new moon Virgo and turn inward. What are your new moon goals?
Have you ever made your own nut milk? If you haven’t I bet you didn’t know how super easy it is! Plus you avoid all the weird additives hiding in the cartoned brands like carrageenan and soy lecithin. Eek! Research shows overtime carrageenan can cause major GI issues and has been linked to a higher rate of colon cancer, IBS, and IBD! Soy has been a hot topic in the health and wellness realm for years and while it is ultimately your choice, you should know there is significant evidence it has harmful affects on the body. I personally avoid soy. Do your own research on this one and let me know where you stand!
DIY CASHEW MILK
1 cup raw cashews, soaked overnight in water
4 cups filtered water
1/4 tsp sea salt
1 date, pitted and chopped (optional)
1 tsp vanilla extract (optional)
Soak cashews in water overnight. Rinse and transfer to high speed blender. Add water, date and vanilla extract if desired. Blend on high speed until smooth and creamy. Strain through a cheese cloth or nut milk bag for silky smooth milk but I usually skip this step with cashews!
HOW TO OVERCOME SELF-DOUBT:
1. No one will ever criticize you the way you criticize yourself. Be nice.
2. Stop comparing yourself — no one is you and that is your gift!
3. You don’t need validation from anyone. It’s ok.
4. Remember how far you’ve come.
5. Take care of yourself. Meditate, go for a walk, take a bath, exfoliate, eat your greens.
6. Tighten your circle — surround yourself with positive, uplifting people who truly care about you.
7. Fake it till you make it. Trust. No one knows wtf they are doing anyways!
8. Repeat after me: You are strong. You are smart. You are beautiful. You are enough!

VISUALIZATION a powerful tool to amp up your meditation practice. Concentrate the mind on an image or place so your body can chill the F out. Really! Start by sitting in a comfortable position. Inhale, fill up with breath. Exhale and let it all go. Think of a beautiful place and go there. Inhale. Notice your belly and mind expand with potential. Exhale. Let it all go. Don’t overthink it! Just sit, close your eyes, and breathe.
