Saw the largest waves I’ve ever seen in my life at Seven Stars Lake (Pacific Ocean actually) in coastal Hualien. It was the first time I truly understood the phrase “roar of the ocean”. This part of the Pacific Ocean is facing out to the Marianas Trench, the deepest point in the entire world! The ocean here is so deep that it doesn’t bring up sand to the beach but rocks, pebbles and stones. You also can’t swim or surf here but visit if you can, it’s absolutely amazing.
We came to Taiwan just to see Hurts even though I came here last month for a holiday. After hearing the brilliance of their fourth album “Desire”, I knew it was time to see them live again! When they announced their Asian dates, @yusintt and I decided to go for it.
First saw them 7 years ago at Esplanade Theatre where they were mesmerizing and captivating.
Last night was incredibly electrifying, fun and inspiring, partly thanks to the Taipei crowd that cheered, screamed and jumped so enthusiastically even though they couldn’t catch the lyrics as well as us.
Theo has also always been and is an incredible frontman to watch
Had a really tiring weekend and Joey and I crashed early last night around 9 after getting back from #JazzforDogs concert at the Botanic Gardens by @asdsingapore . Had a great time with @noiseandchaos @themignonnes @toufu_doggy @chrispychong
Didn’t take any pics unfortunately! Here’s an older shot from the #PAWsitive exhibition by @silverskypets !
Spent the last few days recovering from a corneal ulcer and when I could finally read again, I read Robbie’s new biography “Reveal”. This man has an incredible amount of self-doubt and low self-esteem and yet he’s a great entertainer and puts on great live shows. Here’s a shot from that absolutely incredible Manchester concert
Also, the Indian food after with @yusintt @yeekaiboo @bunniechan22 was amazeballs
