Trying to keep warm today! These little cuties are Petal Pouches I made for my booklet, Everyday Essentials (find a copy at your local quilt shop, or my shop). I had wayyy too much fun taking pictures of these. Fabrics by @cottonandsteel and @makermaker ETA: the Petal Pouch PDF pattern is available in my shop, too.
Sharing this thyme colored Range Backpack on my blog today. I love greens this time of year when everything else is gray, brown, and white. If you’re up for taking a trip up north, I’m teaching a Range Backpack workshop at my friend @bijoulovely’s shop on February 16-17th. Fun will be had!
I made a Shirt No.1!!! Pattern is by @100actsofsewing. I love it so much, a super gratifying make! Fabric by @me__and__y0u from their Indah Ikat collection and it’s amazingly soft! Hope you have a great weekend. Also, thank you so much for your kind words and encouragement on my last post. You guys are the best.
The Olympic Restaurant (pic from 1902) soon to be my new studio space. In December my husband and I bought this building in our downtown area and have been doing a lot of demo work since! It’s been a family effort. I’m excited about bringing back some of the original details of the building and make our downtown a little more visually appealing. Read more on my blog if you wanna know all the details.
I’ve been plugging away in the background putting this booklet together. This is Everyday Essentials, a printed collection of three fun accessories to sew and use. It contains three patterns you might already be familiar with as a PDF, but now together in print: the Wool + Wax Tote, Petal Pouch, and new Minimalist Wallet patterns. Stop by your local quilt shop to pick it up. (Tagging a few shops that I know have it already.) Or stop by my shop for it, I’m doing upgraded shipping (Priority) to US addresses until tomorrow December 20th at noon CST. More info on my blog!
Did a fun little collab with @kristafleck (@printshoptextiles)! I asked her if she would print some of her designs for the Minimalist Wallet pattern, she said yes!, and now the fabric kits are available in my shop. There’s four to choose from depending on what size wallet you want to make. So grab one for yourself or maybe for a friend. All the details in my latest blog post. Hope you have an amazing Friday!
Well hello! I think this mini Minimalist Wallet might be my favorite although I think I say that every time I make one. The chambray is one of my favorites from @andoverfabrics (it’s the Denim colorway). Minimalist Wallet PDF pattern is in my shop. hope you have something fun planned today.
It’s Friday!! And my new pattern is in my shop! It’s called the Minimalist Wallet and it has two fun sizes to sew. The regular size was part of the @makingzine DOTS issue this past spring, and I couldn’t resist adding the mini version. I also have the zippers and snaps you need for making these if you need them, they’re listed separate in the shop. I’ve loved using my mini version (I made it in June) and it’s been hard to keep secret! Hope you have a great day! Fabrics are tagged.
Not sure what I love more about this pic, the beautiful golden light or the way this yarn is the perfect match to her lips. I finished this Marian Cowl (a free pattern by @janerichmond) last weekend using the amazing color of @malabrigoyarn. I’m so proud of Natalie, she’s always up for adventure and bursting with creativity. And those baby blues, she got those from her Dad.
Who loves a patchwork pillow? Me! I had a blast making it for my couch. The pattern is called the Pathway Pillow designed by none other than @fancyamber of @fancytigercrafts for the brand new issue of @makingzine No.4/LINES. I have a few copies of the zine available in my shop. It’s such a fun issue, I’m making @shopwiksten’s Kimono Jacket next!
Although this may look pretty organized it’s actually kind of the opposite of what I’ve been feeling lately. Hoping this next few days of amazing weather will bring things into focus a bit more. I kind of just realized I’m terrible with my time between big projects. ♀️ Gotta get going on what’s next... What do you do when you’re in between projects?
Now that it's not so hot here I've been thinking about making all the cozy things. All while sipping something warm to drink . My girls were so excited when I made them these cute Morrison Tees (pattern by @heyjunehandmade). Time to cozy up! Swipe for more pics; pattern and fabric info is on my blog.
