I can honestly say, if I was given the chance for a do- over, there is not one thing (in my entire life) that I would ever change. I never imagined I could feel that way, but here I am. Every moment of my life (both good and bad) brought me to exactly where I am today; and for that I am truly grateful. I love who I have become...and who I'm becoming.
I know it's not always easy to understand, but every moment of your life (good and bad) is actually molding you into the best version of yourself (which allows you to better serve others..which is why we are here)... IF you allow it. Don't try to fight whatever it is you are going through...instead, look inside to see the lessons being offered to you, and grow through it. It's all a state of mind. You can choose to look at every circumstance as either a blessing or a curse. Both will give you completely different results. One offers extended misery, one offers happiness. You choose! #gratitude #perception #mindset #positivethinking #growth #goodvibes

Made a big batch of this gut- healing, golden elixir...aka #bonebroth. Simmered on low for approximately 48 hours. Bone broth is a rich source of bioavailable nutrients, in an easy-to-digest form, that supports the immune system. It contains healing compounds like collagen and gelatin, trace minerals, it's also rich in protein and amino acids such as glutamine, glycine and proline. The amino acid structure, along with collagen and gelatin in bone broth soothes and heals your gut lining and reduces intestinal inflammation. Which also enhances the absorption of nutrients from food as well.
Collagen helps strengthen and restore the cartilage around our joints. Research done by the Department of Nutrition and Sports Nutrition for Athletics at Penn State University found that when athletes supplemented with collagen over the course of 24 weeks, the majority showed significant improvements in joint comfort and a decrease in factors that negatively impacted athletic performance.
Collagen/ gelatin is also very nourishing to skin, hair and nails.

There is a big difference between connection and attachment, although many feel it's one in the same. One will keep you a prisoner, one will keep you free. Attachment is fear-based. Fear is controlling, dependant, and insecure...it stems from a feeling of "lack of". When you attach yourself to a person, thing, or situation, you depend on these outside sources/situations for your feeling of fulfillment, happiness, worthiness, feeling of acceptance..etc. Through attachment, you also tend to only accept how you feel things "should be" without allowing any other possibilities. You basically give up your inner power and put it in the hands of everything that is outside of your control. How dysfunctional, right? If you really look at what it is you are "attaching" yourself to, you will notice that it is usually always something that you are lacking within. And no matter how hard you try, that void or feeling of "lack of" can never be fulfilled by outside sources. You can become more aware of this when you constantly feel unsatisfied (and exhausted), even after you find or acquire everything you "think you need". Attachment in this sense, only leads to constant suffering. Only YOU can fill that void through awareness, acceptance and inner healing....ultimately self love.
Connection, without attachment, is different. You connect with the world around you knowing and feeling that you are always enough. You are always whole, and need nothing to "complete you", as you are already complete. You embrace self love, know your self worth and have a true sense if independence....because your happiness is not dependant on anybody but yourself; and you know this. You have so much more to give! You are already fulfilled inside, so you can look at people, things, circumstances with acceptance for whatever it is, because your well being isn't attached to it. You will never allow yourself to be a "victim of circumstance" because your well-being always comes from within, and you CHOOSE to suffer or to slay. FYI- slaying is much more satisfying. You will appreciate the experience of it ALL, without any expectations, which is so freeing. cont'd in comment below
So I made some whipped cream with raw, #grassfed cream...added a little vanilla extract and swerve sweetener. I swear it tastes like vanilla ice cream on it's own. Threw some and some frozen, organic raspberries in a bowl, topped it with a ton of whipped cream. Heaven.
By the way, did you know that there is this amazing anti-inflammatory enzyme found in pineapple, called Bromelain? Not only does it have anti-inflammatory properties, it also boosts the immune system and greatly improves digestive health.
Instead of water, I like to drink Stinging Nettle infusions after (or during) my workout. It's not only a super nutrient- dense plant, it's also a very "cooling" herb...cools you down on the inside. Stinging Nettle is super rich in chlorophyll. It's also rich in plant protein, selenium, zinc, chromium, boron, calcium and magnesium. Nettle rebuilds the adrenals (your internal energy stores), and the kidneys. It also keeps the blood vessels flexible, and nourishes the immune system.
Oh! And for you weight lifting/body building enthusiasts-- did you know that stinging nettle is a natural testosterone booster? Yep. Sure is. In the context of testosterone, research suggests that stinging nettle root’s bio-active compounds may work by:
Inhibiting aromatase, an enzyme which converts testosterone to estrogen
Inhibiting 5a-reductase, an enzyme which converts testosterone to its metabolite dihydrotestosterone (DHT)
Binding with SHBG, a protein which normally binds to testosterone and makes it inactive.
It's good stuff.

After 6 weeks, this radiant food is pretty damn powerful (#probioticpowerhouse)...and it tastes sooo good! Did you know that through the process of lactofermentation, the vitamin content of the food actually increases? Yep..it sure does. Prebiotics and probiotics are super important. A healthy microbiome is a crucial for good health. A balanced microbiome regulates the immune system, metabolism, sustains the gastrointestinal tract, supports mood and brain function, produces crucial vitamins and nutrients, reduces #inflammation, and helps us maintain a healthy weight. #lactofermentation #fermentedfoods #fermentedcabbage #guthealth #immunesupport #organicfood #probiotics #foodismedicine #veggies #health #healing #sauerkraut #bvitamins
