Some of you know my dream since I was a little kid was to become a helicopter pilot. The day I graduated high school I enrolled in flight school and chased my passion for aviation. The only problem is I'm "red-green colorblind", but I didn't know to what extent. The week before my first solo flight, I failed 4 different color blind tests, red and green light tests, plate tests, you name it. That ended that dream. I was confused, bummed, mad, everything. But I realized I never fully put my career in God's hands. It was always what "I" wanted to do.
That night I told God that every step I took from then on was for Him. I stand here today having more fun than I ever would have imagined, jumping out of bed to go bring the visions in my head to life. No college, no school, just passion and drive. I'm shooting, producing, editing, and color grading footage (thank God for color scopes) for a living. Color blind my ass 😝 If your dream doesn't come true instantly, keep fighting. If a serious door shuts causing you to pursue something else, know that someone upstairs who loves you unconditionally shut that door for a bigger purpose. Keep dreaming.
Ironic enough, this is "Green Light." 2016/2017 ⚡️
