Loved hearing the #feedsack memories of this group at The Spoiled Quilter. And first time for sharing Feed Sacks: True Blue in a shop. Pretty exciting! #feedsackstrueblue #showmethemoda #modafabrics #texasquilters Thanks @pbmccray for taking photos and hauling books.

Congratulations to a group of women who not only produce(d) an outstanding publication but changed the course of my life. Sounds dramatic, I know, but from that first assignment in 2005 through current days, the faith these four put in me created opportunities I could never have imagined. So grateful for their generosity, mentoring, and friendship. My string-piecing students had such incredible stories. One glass-blower, one LQS owner, one who embroidered for Dutch royalty, two on the board of the national Dutch Quilt Guild (11,000 members!), two Americans who’ve lived in Holland for 30+ years. And one who wore an awesome giant yo-yo coat (see previous post). I learn so much from students! Thanks to the Textile Research Centre! #quilting #teaching #stringpiecing #textiles

In town for four hours and I’ve found the fabric and yarn shop Meet and Make. Gorgeous. And they were excited to show me @quiltfolk so I pointed out @pbmccray at the @iowaquiltmuseum in Issue 2. Textiles really do provide common ground. #quilttravel
