Today is the kind of day I can’t stop smiling 😄 These little African Penguins absolutely made my day - this is such a dream come true for me! I got to swim next to them in the ocean and it wasn’t a paid tourist activity, but a completely free for all experience💛 So grateful to live on this planet ✨

Love chasing sunsets in this beautiful city ✨ Chapman’s Peak Drive is a sunset dream. What was your most memorable sunset?

Taking the cable car up the Table Mountain felt a bit like cheating 🙈, but I made up for it with a long hike in the process of trying to escape the flood of tourists. I finally got to an area where it was just me, Cape Town and the drone, and let me just say it was pure magic✨

I have a pretty intense couple of days coming up with amazing activities lined up, so tag a friend who you’d like to explore Cape Town with and adventure out with me 💛

If you’ve been following me through stories, you know that I’m currently on an adventure in dreamy ✨Cape Town✨. I still can’t believe how this trip came about🙈 I put a picture of this blue car and the pink house in the middle of my vision board back in December, having had no plans of going to South Africa at all... and then boom, and this happens 🔮 I’m blown away by this city, it’s sunsets, summer vibes in February and the most amazing hosts aka. my godparents @mimiikonn & @alexikonn 🙌 Tell me, do you believe in the law of attraction, and if so, what have been some of your experiences of attracting your dreams? ✨

As I take off this morning ✈️, I’m feeling so much gratitude for the opportunity to go on a dreamy adventure with the people that I love so much. Be kind to yourself and to others, and the universe will continue giving you the high fives 💛

'Love is not an instinct - it's a skill. None of us are perfect. We don't need perfection. Demand for perfection ultimately leads us to loneliness. To be in company with another person is to be negotiating imperfection every day. We are all incompatible, but it's the work of love that makes us accommodate each other and ourselves to our incompatibilities. ' - Alain de Botton. 💛

My hubby and I don't celebrate Valentine's, but as I was going through my feed and sifting through e-mails last night, filled with ads, pink/red products and newsletters inspired by Feb 14th, I stumbled upon my favourite newsletter from @intelligentchange , which included Alain de Botton's video called 'Why You Will Marry the Wrong Person'. I loved it so much, that I added the link to my bio for you to check out. I would love to hear your thoughts after you listen to one of the most realistic and optimistic videos about relationships. 💛

Love is a choice that we make every day, not a spontaneous feeling that comes and goes💛

Today is a perfect day to have 🥞 for breakfast, lunch and dinner 🙌 My evening plans tonight consist of my couch, blueberry pancakes soaked in maple syrup and doing research on an incredible country that I’m travelling to this Friday ✨ Can you guess what it is?☀️

As they say, the couple who cycles together...comes home super knackered but full of love, binge-watches Weeds on Netflix...and obviously stays together 🙌 #thatmarriedlife 💛✨

London. 8am. There is something magical and therapeutic in witnessing the prep that goes into the opening of the Apple Market in Covent Garden before the crowds arrive 💛

Major NYC vibes in Notting Hill got me thinking whether I should have signed up for the NY marathon instead... anyone out there running it?🙌 But at the same time, thinking that I will run (or crawl) the original 42km from the city of Marathon to Athens this November gets me soooo excited 🏃🏻‍♀️✨

A cuppa tea in the colourful Neal’s Yard is exactly what the doctor ordered in this weather💛

Skipping through the week like 💃🏻 It’s hilarious how there is this big drama in London, that it’s going to be the coldest week of the winter...-7C 🤣 I used to wake up an hour earlier in Toronto to dig my car out of snow and unfreeze all windows 😫 Bring on the cold, UK🙌

Love London for these gems of discoveries. This place was built by and was once a home to William Waldorf Astor, founder of New York’s Waldorf Astoria. It’s now open for exhibitions...but not for too long, so hurry up before April! ✨

I’m usually a stay-at-home and cook up a massive brunch kind of gal on a Saturday, but when @liolaliola says breakfast on the 40th floor, I go all out 💃🏻

Sometimes I wonder what Shakespeare, Dickens or Orwell would have to say about London after having breakfast on the 40th floor.

Came home with completely soaked feet, but a heart full of happiness after an early rainy walk around London 🎈 Best way to connect with the beauty of this city is to be up before the rest 🙌

Not so ‘Francais’ of me, as the Covent Garden Hotel is suggesting, but a 3/4 floral dress with a jumper under a colourful coat and a pair of Reeboks is what my Feb 1st London outfit dreams are made of. What’s your outfit where you are today? I’m very curious 🧐💛🙌

Never tired of exploring this city! If you take away the hustle and bustle of the historic financial district, otherwise known as The City of London, it’s side streets are quite magical with the ability to take you back in time✨

I takes only a £5 jumbo balloon to create an additional layer of child-like happiness while playing a tourist in London💛

At work today, I was gifted an airplane piñata by the most amazing team, customized with ‘Chief Adventurer’ on the wings and stuffed with Kinder surprise eggs and other goodies✨ Monday morning Piñata rage should be a thing - it felt very liberating 🤣. Comment below if you agree🙌

Summer dresses & jumpers are my little pick-me ups for when I open the curtains in the morning expecting ☀️, but get London at its finest instead: ☁️☁️☁️

Who’s ready for Spring yet? Can’t wait for have all the flowers and colours to come back, but for the time being I’m grateful for shops that keep us Londoners going in the gloomiest of days 🙈

This #adventureofme post is inspired by a recent conversation with my hubby about sustainable fashion. We came to a conclusion that the only way designers should be advocating for the environment is by making fashion, well... less fashionable (let’s be real, that was Wouter’s conclusion). I personally don’t believe in the necessity of 4 collections a year, I believe in the power of turning limited pieces into multiple outfits, minimising your annual consumption on clothes and turning older pieces into fresh new outfits. You don’t need to update your wardrobe every season, but you can still invest into unique pieces that will stand out. The reality is that you need to clean up your closet every season and know exactly what you own. The combination of items in your possession is endless. I never put away my summer dresses as I find they add a super feminine touch with sweaters in the winter.
I’ve been obsessed with this @mrselfportrait for a few years now and if you know me, or have been following me for a while, these @hm and @zara sweaters are my ultimate go-to in the winter for a while now. I hope this inspires you to think a little outside the box the next time you shop✨

Love story with London continues...💛 the tiny little hidden away streets in London called Mews, actually used to be stables for horses with an upper area meant for servants. Nowadays, however, a flat in a mews house, costs as much as one in a new high rise building in London😲, but is still soooo much cuter than any high rise💛

Sometimes people come into your life and your energies intertwine, you inspire each other and have this constant craving to see more of the world and do more, in your own ways. And then in one instant, when you least expect it, that person is gone forever, leaving you feeling perplexed about life, with deep sadness that’s often hidden by your extraverted personality. @sherylsandberg says in her book Option B that as we get older, we define happiness less in terms of excitement and more in terms of peacefulness. ✨ I wish you peace wherever you are ✨ 💛 #adventureofme

It’s January in London and 🌴s are lovin it 💛 Obsessed with the colours around London.

5💬

It may be a rainy weekend in London, but these colours are keeping me super happy. We are museum hopping today and heading to Greenwich later on. How amazing is it that museums in London are free?😍 [obviously with the exception of limited-time exhibitions, but still!]🙏 What’s your Sunday like?

What cake dreams are made of💕 Stella McCartney’s and Kate Moss’s wedding cakes came out of here...just sayin ✨ Got a stash for my parents-in-law, who are in town this weekend. Let them be the judge🍰🍰🍰 [clearly I miserably failed with my no-sugar challenge this month 🙈]
